Welcome to: THE NON-ADULT CLUB! The Point: A place for all people under 18 to chat, joke, or do whatever The Twist: Once you've passed your 18th birthday, posting is not allowed not suggested to keep the title accurate Created by: Matrim's Dice Members: To many to mention! Hooray! Motto (by popular request): "If you can vote, we vote you out!" Milestone: Longest subforum in the 'Social Groups, Clans, and Guilds' forum in terms of post count! A Note: I edited this post a few months after the club's creation, once it was clear it was actually a thing. The original OP said something about 'if you can't vote, you can join' so if you're wondering what that is about in the below posts, that's it

The way I tried to keep society work was make the setting entirely un-Earth related have the people who can use the magic be in like a secret guild or group, almost like the white tower in the way that most people like in the Two Rivers aren't even sure if Aei Sedai are real- but I don't know how the magic is gained in a person. But I dunno, honestly kinda forgot it existed until I saw this thread

What comes to mind is how Pattern and Adolin interacted, it makes me want to see how Pattern reacts to Syl because I enjoyed those sections.

No way lol. Mine is not that developed actually.

I kind of thought that Chemoarish went with the Dustbringers because of the same reasons. Is that too obvious?

Can humans feel the Willshaper spren pulses, similar to Eshonai/Venli can?
Mat replied to Mat's question in Cosmere Q&A
I never thought about that, but I don't think I'll go to this, the story takes place during/after WoR and it's not canonized what Scadrians were doing concerning worldhopping at that time. I just have my character picking out feelings and impressions from the pulses. Thinking about it now, I think I'm going to tone done how much the character understands the lightspren. -
Right, it might have happened, but also he might have been framed, it was a set up, or something.

Endgame is great, the only criticism I would give is that

Hufflepuff Gang! Ravenclaw is a close second for me, Gryffindor and Slytherin are far off. Edit: It had been a good 1.5 years since taking the quiz, I just did so again and got Ravenclaw.

The best part about this is that I understand it. Yay for being nerds!

I am weirdly excited to see this thread. I own the complete collection of ten years of comics, and have read it literally 20 times... The top 3 biggest things that I want to know What is the Noodle Incident Where does Calvin live in the U.S. What is his last name

Just found this thread, somehow it escaped my notice for a week I am Duck Hunt main Bowser Jr. (Specifically Lemmy) main Toon Link main (Though I can't play ordinary Link to save my life) Best smash story; when I first played the Subspace Emissary (Brawl Adventure mode) it took a good month of hard work. Two years later I came back and beat it again in about a week

Investiture and its relation to one's personality
Mat replied to Knight of Iron's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I do remember a piece from the first of the Hoid letters in Oathbringer, where Hoid talks about Ati (the previous vessel for Ruin) It would seem that the long-term Investiture that comes with ascension effected Ati immensely, the Ruin Shard completely changing his motives to the force we see in the first Mistborn trilogy. These are my thoughts on the topic; I don't know how much short-term Investiture would change a person, but I hope that cleared something up.- 6 replies

I had an idea for a magic system/world where the magic was based on the mind, kind of a telekinesis/mind reading hybrid, with levels of power in the magic. I don't know any current books with something like this, though I'm sure there is.

I looked up Nahz on the coppermind and found that it is confirmed to be Nahz'z surname. In other words, his name is ______ Nazrilof
-
So I was flipping though my copy of Arcanum Unbounded and I noticed, on the about the author page inside the back cover, next to Brandon's picture, was the name 'Nazrilof' Someone has probably noticed this before, I was wondering- is this Nahz's name? Brandon has said that someone would pull out his real name from them someday. Did he put in that easter egg? I attached a picture for convenience:

I don't think you can edit the document, but if you can please don't

So I am writing a Stormlight fanfic and I wanted help on a scene where an enemy Shardbearer is attacking the army. The scene is from the perspective of a squadleader (the rank that Kaladin was just above when he killed a Shardbearer) and I wanted help with writing battle scenes in general. I gave it my best shot but I appreciate any tips! Note: This is chapter 5 of the fanfic Also I would appreciate and typos/grammatical errors spotted. I noticed one while getting the link ready, so I bet there's more! Thanks Link: https://nooksackschools-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/ethan_morris_nv_k12_wa_us/EZPx-ZImmldEumdKS8wy2xwBbGKlX9T1rP_EO45UbkLwtA?e=KJhcen

Are you talking about the 3rd graphic novel? I noticed Hoid was on Khriss's boat but not those particular lyrics.

So I was wondering, because we know the Bavland nation of Roshar has it's own culture and language different from anywhere else, how easy would it be to move there and start a new life there? If a native Alethi moved to Bavland, how fast would they pick up the language? How soon would they adjust to the culture? Would they use the 'Oi' instead of 'I'? This is a lot of questions, and I know there is not a lot of info concerning the in-world languages- after all, the book is just in English- but I was still hoping there was something I missed. Thanks!

I feel like confronting Odium face to face would be the worst. Dalinar almost crumpled at a mere glimpse of Odium's true power, so I would have to go with that particular Shard.
-
I think it's 2600, I looked it up before I asked. It's something like that.
-
For Hoid/Lord Ruler, that is tricky. For one, The Lord Ruler has lots of tricks for his healing. But Hoid probably knows all of them. Also, Hoid doesn't seem scared of weapons- he calls Jasnah's Shardblade a 'little knife' or something like that. So I would say Hoid-even though he doesn't like hurting people-, but I dunno. what I would say is I would definitely pay to have Brandon write that.

What is the exact number of slaves Dalinar traded for Oathbringer at the end of WoK?

Can humans feel the Willshaper spren pulses, similar to Eshonai/Venli can?
Mat replied to Mat's question in Cosmere Q&A
So, Willshapers probably wouldn't be able to. At least not yet. I think I will just ignore this, continue on my writing, and change it when it's canonized officially.
