Mid-Range Game 42: The Auction of Lord Winsting
Mat replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This pretty much kills my suspicions on Emi assuming I buy that 1. She is actually a Stalker and 2. I believe Pyro saying they are the only scanner-type roles. Which I don't really, so I dunno. Again. -

Do it, I say. Pyro's claim must be confirmed or denied ASAP I think. -

I was hoping for a quiet night but clearly I didn't get my wish... So, I don't even know. I doubt the elims are giving up, remember there are 8 or 9 so they might be getting us to think they are giving up so we disperse. Remember that. The thought crossed my mind as well. Of course I am slightly suspicious of you so I dunno. Either this is a complete elim failure or an elaborate plot of madness. Whatever one I DIDN'T EXPECT MY FIRST GAME TO BE THIS RIDICULOUS. -
As the one who started this I can say I agree

Mid-Range Game 42: The Auction of Lord Winsting

I said I was signing off but I checked once more. TGK this is very true. IMO here is the ideal end of cycle result: Straw lynched, Pyro killed by village bartender. Village bartender out there, please do kill Pyro, it'd be nice to get 2 elims out of the way in one cycle. Good night, y'all -

Village bartender please oblige. I'm signing off for the night, here is the vote count: (it isn't close) Fura (1): DeTess Straw(13): Karnage, wilson, Emi, Pyro, Striker, Orlok, Matrim, Xino, Devotary, Reading, BR, Coda, TGK Karnage(1): Straw Pyro(2): Arraenae, Fura Anyone else wonder what to do tomorrow? (besides orchestrate a Pyro/Straw tie?) -
Hmmm, okay. Was thinking about it but wasn't sure because of the MR. Lord Cauthon is in. Next hour of my life dedicated to reading the rules 27 times.

Emphasis mine. In case anyone finds this interesting, Fura was the original Karnage vote last cycle. -

Multiple people have said this about my post earlier. What is it? Well, I did have the idea already. I read Karnage's claim post and then left to practice the piano- since I wasn't sure who/when to vote- and thought about it. Then I came back and there were a bunch of Straw votes already so it was kind of redundant. Of course, if you thought I was elim then this probably won't convince you otherwise. -

...So are you leaving your vote on Pyro? -

As I've mentioned before Pyro and Striker are on my/others suspect list. So the answer to your question is yes, whether it be those two or not. -

Mid-Range Game 42: The Auction of Lord Winsting

If he is pulling a stunt we'll just lynch him C3 after Straw would be revealed as village. Assuming this I doubt Karnage would've been ignorant to that possibility when he roleclaimed. -

So I had this big proposition but it looks like everyone is voting Straw already. Basically it was, let's lynch Straw this cycle. If Karnage is Flogs and is telling the truth, then we found an elim. Yay. It Karnage isn't Flogs, then oof, sorry Straw. But then we can all lynch Karnage anyway for C3. The more I think about it the more I realize how stupid it would be to imitate Flogs. That is basically asking for Bleeder to kill you and everyone to be suspicious. So yeah, I trust Karnage at the moment. -

I leave for an hour and this happens. My goodness. First things first. @Karnage, I want to believe you and lynch Straw. It makes so much sense if you are Flogs. But a few things: Why would Flogs be a Gambling Tycoon? That makes no sense to me whatsoever, as Flogs is already immune to lynches. I got ninja'd by Straw and therefore read his post. That makes me unsure for voting on him. Even though you said it yourself, roleclaiming like that is ridiculously risky. Too risky. I could see this being orchestrated in an elim doc. But then there is the other side of this. I was already quietly suspicious of Striker for seemingly controlling Emi's vote on Karnage last cycle. Now Striker wants to lynch Flogs after he roleclaimed. However, if I assume a Striker/Emi elim team then why would Emi vote Straw instead of Karnage? Someone is lying here, Karnage or Straw. I don't want to pick a side yet. No vote at the moment. -
Good luck getting them to move off Nale. To quote the post above you... Anyways, Lift helped him so he won't be going around murdering Radiants anymore.

Yes, I realized this and edited my post, Hammond didn't talk last cycle I am still interested in responses to my first post today, multiple people have posted since then, so I'll spoiler it here: -

Nope, you have it backwards. Check the rules again, Flogs cannot be lynched but can be attacked. -

I never understood the Karnage lynch, and this even further convinces me we shouldn't lynch him again. Sure, if he's a tycoon, then he dies next cycle. Whoopie doo, an ordinary lynch, whether he be elim or village it gives us something. That doesn't seem that bad. If he was protected by a bodyguard, then it's the same thing. Either way some information is gained. But on the off-chance that he is Flogs, not protected by anyone, lynching him would be a very bad idea. Think about it: If Karnage is Flogs, and he was lynched this cycle, he would survive, again, and that would tell Bleeder exactly where Flogs is. I don't think this possibility is worth the risk of loosing Flogs this early in the game. It would, in my opinion, be much better to leave Karnage alone for now. Maybe even go as far as protecting him, for any village bodyguards out there... anything to prevent his death at this point I think would be good. Assuming he is Flogs, which I think we should do, however unlikely, seems like by far the safest option here. Thoughts? Edit: I also thought it was interesting there are only 26 players awake. With Araris dead, that means 3 players fell asleep. Meaning there are a minimum of 2 escorts, because @Hammond42 didn't post. -
Behold: the 20,000 post in the thread. (Emi's) *HeeEEEeeHaAaAaaaAAW*

I laughed aloud when I saw this He just has posted that he does this in the non-forum mafia game, that's how I know. I'm signing off for the night, won't be back until next cycle. Leaving my vote on Sart, though his most recent post (albeit it was awhile ago) lessens my suspicions of him. Vote count: Sart(4): Xino, Arraenae, Karnage, Matrim's Dice Straw (3): Wilson, Fura, Orlok Karnage (5): Araris, StrikerEZ, Emi, Pyro, Sart The God King (3): Experience, Shard of Reading, The_Archivist Furamirionind (2): DeTess, Straw Matrim’s_Dice (1): Hemalurgic Headshot I still don't understand why Karnage is getting lynched, to be honest. Or why people are suspicious of Straw. Both seem driven by the idea of 'day 1 lynch' which isn't a bad idea, in no way, but I think it should be smartly done. I am more suspicious, now after re-reading some of the pages, of Emi. The brief Kynedath lynch attempt seemed random and her vote change to Karnage seemed driven by Striker more then it seemed like a conscious decision, to me at least. I don't know. I didn't expect 230+ posts in the first cycle of my first game. I'm leaving my vote on Sart because it would have absolutely no effect moved over to Emi. See y'all tomorrow -
because they are Also pretty sure that only Nale has been killing others. Again, he is insane.

Emphasis mine. Was this word choice intentional or just you writing? I can see how you would just write it as 'the village' subconsciously- it seems like something I would do- but it still makes me cock my head a little bit. -

Wasn't Drake the one in QF44 who led a bunch of lynches that were villagers? Or was that TGK? Edit: It was Drake I was thinking of, but my accusation is still slightly unfair seeing as the elim team played really well that game and he wasn't the only one voting for the village.
