Little Life Update:
Have officially started my cosmere reread in preparation of KoWaT. Finished era 1 of mistborn (spook was one of my favorites to read this time around) as well as alloy of law.
Watched Damsel tonight, it's a new movie on Netflix. Would def recommend. Very well done and no nudity or anything like that (yay!)
Finally started outlining a short film, the working title of which is Joy. More updates as I progress with that.
Still looking for a new show to watch cuz I finished stranger things, so if you have any ideas hit me up.
My brothers and I are starting a landscaping business, which has been very...interesting to say the least.
I know I'm going to major in media arts, but I've been trying to decide if I should minor in acting (whatever the technical name for it is idk), or if I should just take acting classes because I also want to try acting out for funzies. Still have a little time to figure that all out though.
Yeah that's about it. I love y'all and you're amazing!
Also no point in counting in this one cuz the previous is still going lol

It's always good to hear from you!
I would also recommend Demon Slayer (my pfp came from somewhere . . .) like Panda, but I would like to add that it is rated TV-MA on netflix, which is important to consider. It's mostly rated that way because it's really violence, and there's a lot of onscreen gore. I personally don't think it's that bad, but gore and violence have never really bothered me that much, so I guess I can't really say. It does also have some sexual references in it. (I highly recommend checking out the IMDB parents guide for more info.
Another really good anime you could watch is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It's honestly one of the best fantasy stories ever written (imo)--I'm not sure where you can stream that though.
I did start watching Damsel last night, and I'm about halfway through. So far I haven't been super impressed, so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it when I'm finished.

It's pretty good, but somewhat gory in a couple parts. The story is pretty good, but I enjoy it mostly cuz old marvel nostalgia and studying film so I am starting to notice a lot more little things all over the place. It is like 9(?) seasons tho so it's an investment.
tl;dr If you enjoy era 1 marvel you'll prob enjoy it

This is not goodbye forever, but it is a goodbye. For now.
For a long time now I have been struggling with time. And I did some digging and have found out why. I don't usually sleep 8 hours, but I am usually in bed for 8 hours. That's pretty normal.
What's not normal is to spend an average of 10 hours every single day on my phone. And that's what I've been doing. It hasn't just been 17th Shard. Social media, YouTube, games. If you put those two times together, that's 18 out of the 24 hours in each and every day that I'm wasting.
3/4ths of every day that I'm not able to do what I love, improve my talents, or chase my dreams because I'm just wasting it away staring at a screen. And that doesn't even include whatever time I spend on my computer!
So I've found myself at a crossroads of sorts. I can either continue what I'm doing, and enjoy the moment but know that I'll never achieve the life I dream of everyday. Or I can change and actually make that dream my reality.
This past week I've tried to reduce my screen time, but no matter what I just kept going back to my phone. This has shown me that I at best I have a really bad habit. At worst, a terrible addiction to a small metal rectangle.
I have really, really big dreams, but I really want to be able to live those dreams, not just ‘chase’ them forever. Which comes to the whole point of this SU.
I've decided that the best way I can stop using my phone so much is to get rid of it. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to be getting a flip phone, and that way I'll only be able to use my phone for calls, basically eliminating every single temptation I have to use my phone during the day.
Among other things, this means that I sadly must bid farewell to this site and all you wonderful people, for now at least. I really, really, really want to continue to participate in the hunger games as it continues to grow and progress…but it's just not important enough in the big scheme of things. I can't wait to come back and find that it has grown larger than SE lol
I'm coming up on four years on this site which is just kinda crazy. 4 years of amazing experiences and amazing people. I've met a few of you in person, and I will be going to the dragon steel event this fall so hopefully I can meet some more of y'all there. This community has truly shaped who I am and I'll miss all of it. But I also look forward to this next phase in my life.
At the beginning of all this I did say this isn't goodbye forever. I'll check in every now and then with SUs. At some point, once I have my life and schedule better figured out, I may even come back for some SE and Hunger Games here and there.
I would mention everyone in this post, but there's no way I remember to write down everyone. You are all my shard buddies. So thank you for everything. Every interaction. All of it.
If you'd like to reach out to me for any reason you can email me at [email protected].
P.S. I know counting has kind of become a thing on my SUs (yeah, it's mostly my fault xD), but how about we don't do that in this one so it doesn't get all clogged up :).
Love y'all.
Exp out.
