    Tributes enter the arena without any equipment, but there are usually ways to get stuff at the beginning in the cornucopia.

    Welcome to the Shard and to the Hunger Games! Your character looks great! Usually for fighting people tend to go one of two ways, both of which are fine. The first is using dice to figure out how good/bad they do during a turn-based fight. The more common choice is simply both people roleplaying the fight and seeing how it plays out. We don't allow Godmodding (roleplaying what another person's character does), so you can't just say 'I won the fight' and need to give the other person an opportunity to react to the attack. Also, the GMs have veto power for everything, so if we feel like someone is roleplaying themselves winning a fight when they clearly wouldn't be able to (someone with no weapons vs. three people with swords), we're not gonna let that happen. But really, just figure it out as you go. If you want some examples of fighting you can look at the last couple pages of the Smedry Hunger Games page.

      my only problem with that is i’m still not super knowledgeable about the cosmere since i’ve only read half of the reckoners series, book one of skyward, and some of way of kings since i’ve just been so busy (i haven’t read consistently for leisure in like a year, it’s bad), and like half of those aren’t even cosmere books

      i was pretty lost when i did the threnody one a few months ago because i didn’t fully understand the rules, and i also feel like i won’t be as active as i probably should

      i’d love to join, but i’m hesitant for those reasons
