In my current playthrough, I’m barely into Hardmode. I have beaten the game before though, and across all the platforms I’ve played at least 800 hours.

A part-time one! Though it’s been a while since I actually played it... I technically beat the game when I defeated the Moon Lord on my cousin’s account (we may or may not have duplicated stuff) but the farthest I ever got (just on mobile) was Plantera.

I actually am playing through it for the first time. I am stuggleing to defeat one of the mechanical bosses. You are probably thinking that i am a newbie as you are reading this. And i am. i was stuck in normal mode for a LONG time, i had to get help from a friend at school to get the materials i needed to defeat the Wall of Flesh. But here i am and i am in love wit the game. So if any of you guys (or girls) have any advice, tips or pointers, that will be greatly appreciated.  :)

"Live Long and Prosper!"    Tell me somebody gets that reference.

I've beaten all of them except for Triforce Heroes.  I posted my ranking recently on reddit so I'll copy and paste it here:

    1. Breath of the Wild

    2. The Wind Waker

    3. Oracle of Ages

    4. Majora's Mask

    5. Oracle of Seasons

    6. Link's Awakening

    7. Ocarina of Time

    8. The Minish Cap

    9. A Link Between Worlds

    10. Skyward Sword

    11. Twilight Princess

    12. The Phantom Hourglass

    13. A Link to the Past

    14. Spirit Tracks

    15. Adventure of Link

    16. The Legend of Zelda

I don't feel like ranking the Four Swords games

Well, I've never played Skyward sword but I've  only heard good things about the game till now. But i'm surprised how low Twilight Princess is. That game is on my top 3. And i have to admit i haven't played most of them, I have a hard time finding/getting them. I dont even have the time mostly.(i also don't have the correct console for a lot of them) But i love the story line and i know at least a descent amount about them. I love reading the Hyrule Historia and the Encyclopedia.

I do, and I enjoyed it, though I have never had time to do the trials of the sword.  since you cant save between rooms you need a huge block of time to dedicate to it that i just cant fit into my schedule.  but the new dungeon, the new shrines, the search for the new equipment, all of that I loved.

I think i Enjoyed the new Dungeon more than any of the others, Especially the boss! that was the funnest boss in BotW in my opinion. Did you finish that dungeon? I don't want to spoil.

mentioned in the what are you playing now thread that BotW is currently my #1.  it's the most fun i've had playing a game in years, and I am super hyped for the sequel.  after that though my top favorites are probably the Gameboy color games.  Link's Awakening was the first zelda game I played, and it holds a special place in my heart, but i also love the Oracle games as well.  after those its hard to say: probably Ocarina or Link to the Past, since they are both great.  Maybe Majora's Mask would sneak into the top 5 some days, depending on how i'm feeling.  It has a lot going on, but i'm not always in the right mood to engage with it.

Minish Cap is the only one I think I haven't played, simply haven't been able to find it, though I haven't looked all that hard admittedly.

I will say this: I really don't understand the love for the Links Awakening Switch graphics.  I personally hate what I have seen of them.  Reminds me too much of a bobblehead, or those Funko Pop things, neither of which I think makes for good game design.  and overall it feels too plastic.

I know what you mean, i have mixed fealings about the new Links Awakening. Do you have the DLC for BotW?

No, I do get that.  the set of skills you get at the beginning seem limited compared to the normal arsenal and the shrines and divine beasts, while mostly fun (give or take the major test of strength shrines, which ive seen called "major test of patience" by others) are a bit small compared to traditional dungeons, and a bit....monotone?  uniform?  basically there isnt a whole lot of dirfferences between them, as compared to the very thematically different dungeons you get in somethign like OOT.

Okay i get what your saying. I do. :) And i respect your opinion. But other than Breath of The Wild, what is you what is your [top 3] fave Zelda game? Number 1 being your top favorite 3 being, you know, your 3rd fave. :D

Also i forgot to mention something about Majors mask. I sea the things it has in common with BotW that you mention earlier. But I really enjoy the story line in Majoras mask. I´m not saying that BotW has a bad story, it just did not connect with me as well? I did not like it as much? I duno the right way to say it.

and if your in the mood to talk more about zelda, go to the ¨who LOVES Zelda¨ topic i made.;)

Can't say I agree with it, but I see where you are coming from.  its definitely the least Zelda-like Zelda game I've played, and that list includes Zelda 2 (side note: if they have to remake older Zelda games, that one is near the top of my list; most of the series is great as-is, but that one could really benefit from a graphics and controls upgrade at least to SNES levels).  but then Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game and it doesn't have much Zelda specific stuff going on in its storyline either. for that matter, i don't recall much mention of the triforce in Majora's Mask, though structurally those 2 bear more resemblance to most of the other games with their dungeons and equipment.

Okay, Okay, i get your point. but i hope you and anybody else who is reading this gets what i'm saying for the most part. I also just want you guys to know that i am not trying to bash on Breath of The Wild in any way. Like i said before, Down below,

That's a hard one, it depends on what mood I'm in. Maybe Majora's Mask. It had brilliant atmosphere, great side quests and I liked the collectibles. It was visually memorable with the moon and the mask. Being able to play as other characters was awesome.

Recently it's been either Links Awakening or Breath of the Wild on the Switch though. I haven't actually completed BOTW so I'll need to get on that!

    What about you??

My favorite is definitely Majoras Mask. But my top three would be, Majoras Mask, Twilight Princes, and Ocarina of Time. Dont get me wrong guys i love Breath of the Wild, it's graphics and game-play are impeccable! .it just has nothing in common with the original story. Not that it has to be exactly the same, but it should have SOMETHING! I mean the TriForce is not even MENTIONED at all. but other than that i actually do love the game and i am pumped for the sequel to come out. its just i wouldn't say it is one of my favorite ZELDA games. If you know what i mean. Tell me i'm not the only one with this opinion. :)

  9. Well thats REALLY hard. but you should know that I've only read Mistborn: The original Trilogy And im in the middle of The Bands of Mourning. oh, I've also read Elantris. and i LOVED the Emperor's Soul and Mistborn: Secret History. plus other non-Cosmere books. But considering that.. i just dont KNOW i mean i love Kelsier, Vin, Elend, Wax, and Wayne. and i know that a lot more than one. But those are some of my faves.

I think we can all agree that Hrathen's character arc is amazing. Some of you are saying that Raoden is boring, but I think it's kind of nice to have a Sanderson character that doesn't constantly fight depression. NOT that I dislike the depression, but Raoden's optimism is heartwarming. Sarene does get kind of annoying sometimes, but I think that Kiin and his family make up for that. I love them all. But I would have to say that my favorite part of the book was Raoden's, so Team Elantris here.

I agree with pretty much with every thing you said exempt the part where you said that Sarene was annoying. i guess i see what you mean but i still don't totally agree.
