@Elbereth @little wilson I am looking at tuition reductions, and the numbers in the summary don't match the numbers in the full rules document. Which set should be used?

Oh man, trying to figure out all of these complex and intertwined dynamics is so much fun, and also a tad stressful. I can not believe how many players we have, I am definitely not used to this! In regards to the Edema Ruh, I don't agree with not voting on them specifically because they are lacking in funds, I think we could be giving the skin dancers an advantage should any of their members be in that category. I do get that they have quite a disadvantage, but I do not think they should get a ton of special immunity in that you need to be more certain of your suspicion to vote on them. (sorry guys!). That being said, I do agree with not voting on them just to vote on someone. @Lumgolhasn't checked in, and they are richer than me so. . . Lumgol

I’m still here, unfortunately i won’t be able to put much out at this point, yesterday was a real rough day mentally. After reading through the thread I’m going to vote for Shqueeves- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I keep rolling back and forth over the idea that there might not be a crystal night left at all, since Ironfire died because of the PM rule, which likely had something to do with activity, they may not have converted anybody. It is probably more dangerous to assume they don't exist than to assume they do and be wrong. I feel as though the Smedry would be taking out their biggest threats, which is why they might have killed Fifth so soon. Which brings me to the question of why Straw is alive, since they are more active and therefore more dangerous than Kynedath. Another piece rubbing me the wrong way right now is Sart's vote on Coda, they put that post up around ten minutes before the cycle ended, which isn't much time for coda, or anybody else to have put in a last minute vote changing Coda's lynch to a jailing.- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
My vote is going to be on Coda, mainly because of their current voting habits. They have been hopping onto bandwagons at about the middle, they were the fourth person to vote on Sart, and then just last cycle they were the third of five people to vote on Striker. They have also been a one of my gut suspicions this entire game. @Shqueeves has abstained from voting this entire game. If you had to vote today, who would you vote for? Why? Edit: Looking back at the vote count from Cycle 3, StrikerEZ only had four votes on them, however five people voted on them. According the rules Doc the only way this is possible is us having another Silimatic Engineer who used the grapplers glass. Unless @little wilson / @Elbereth this was a typo.- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, I didn't follow up on that, and I am really sorry for that. Unfortunately all of the global chaos had some impacts on my personal life that led to me being mostly unable to actually finish contributing. The anonymous message indicated that the sender was in contact with someone who had a PM with God King, and believed they were lying about having one with Elkanah. One of the biggest things I think we have to watch out for right now I think is changes in play style between cycles, as there is a chance people are getting converted still. Obviously that might not help us find the rouge Smedry, but it is a lead and its primarily what I'm going to be using. I will take Day Two with a grain of salt though, as it felt really sombre with the unfortunate circumstances that were occurring. Xinoehp: They seem to have been lying quite low this game, posting their typical role analysis D1 and kind of disappearing afterwards. Their last post is the beginning of D2, with only a vote on TGK, @xinoehp512,how's it going? Any thoughts thus far? Straw: Doing lots of decoding as well as their post on game statistics, which is pretty benificial and useful, however also a pretty good way to contribute without causing a stir and drawing too much suspicion. Coda: My gut read on them says evil, but I'm not entirely sure why. I know I might get attacked for this, but I'm placing my vote on them for now. It is sill pretty early in the game, so there still isn't a crazy amount to go off of.- 421 replies

Thats a very fair point, a couple edits I have in mind are as follows: -The passion of passions excludes one thing on each table, for the politicking table maybe change it from logic to research -change logic from ‘move a vote’ to ‘you get two votes’ -Switch passion of research to 10% and logic to 15%

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I’m not entirely sure what to say at this point, I do agree with the analysis of God King, however their frustration and the guilt trip mechanism is making it hard to knowingly vote on them. One thing I did have as a note is the difference in their playstyle D1 this game as well as the last game I played with them. (Elkanah’s QF) They were very quiet and careful D1, and that game they flipped Elim. Edit: I did receive an anonymous message last night that indicates God King may have been lying about a PM with Elkanah. However unless two people could confirm that they have PM’s with God King from day one, I wouldn’t trust that message personally. Edit #2: This is likely all I’m going to be saying on God King, I’ll post my thoughts on the other players in a bit, I have to get some schooling stuff dealt with right now though.- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There's been a lot of codes back and forth, and I am personally getting a little annoyed with it. I enjoy puzzles and it’s fun to crack them, but after a while it just gets tedious. I also don’t really get the point of doing it. Day one isn’t my strong suit, so I’m just checking in for now. I’ll hopefully have more by the next cycle. For now it’s watching and observing.- 421 replies

The percentage is the likelihood of that passion being given to a player. It corresponds to the reference chart below. I wanted to use a D20 as my “RNG” for them because I’m a nerd and why not?

I think I fixed it now.

I have been developing a ruleset recently, and I was hoping for some feedback/suggestions. I have linked the document rather than putting the entire ruleset here. (Because formatting.) [link has been removed]

I can’t give all my logic now - not enough time (yay for suspense eh?) bottom line is that you are both good players and have played well as whatever alignment you were. Unfortunately the final vote came down to me and it was utterly a 50/50 shot. Which absolutely sucks because I have bad luck, so I compiled all my thoughts and gave it the best guess I could. May the odds be ever in our favour. I’ll give my full thoughts in the post game thing if you want.

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Zillah replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Here’s my second role: Airplane Spoon: You are a spoon shaped like an airplane. You are used as evidence in a crime scene, and can send one player to jail as an action. However you are soon forgotten and the player is released after one cycle. The same player can’t be targeted twice in a row.- 421 replies

It’s definitely difficult to judge alignment when two players with skill far superior to mine have an intense logic battle like that, but I am going to put my vote onto Elandera. I’ve been suspicious of them the entire game, and beyond that I mainly just agree with the evidence other people have pulled up about them. I also know that since the vote is 2-1 on Experience right now, I want to pull it off them I think. Our PM this cycle has somewhat made me trust them more, as what they said would have been pretty risky as an Elim.

I realize that my stab at Elandera seems a bit rash. However it was also a way to try and generate discussion, which we need since we lost DeTess who was a huge player for doing so. The first couple cycles were a while ago, so the details, like God Kings role in Elandera vs DeTess, were a bit foggy. I only really remembered the general concepts of the discussion. That’s on me though, for not checking the facts before posting. Either way I do think it helped with some discussion this cycle.

Looking back I do see what you mean about Kynedath also opposing DeTess. As well as The God King pitting Elandera and DeTess against each other. I do agree with the Straw lynch

I am going to place my vote on @Elandera for now. This is mainly due to their interactions with DeTess early on in the game. The two players had strong differing opinions and Elandera was trying to bring us away from DeTess’s thoughts. Since DeTess flipped Village I am comfortable lynching Elandera.

I had a vote placed on DeTess, however when I thought about it more I decided against it due to their activity levels. At that point I didn’t really know who to vote for without looking like I was just blindly stabbing or hopping on a bandwagon. That being said this cycle I’m likely putting my vote on The_God_King or Elandera. Mainly because when I think of them I can’t think of anything. Which is concerning. They’ve hidden from the spotlight quite well.

I agree/disagree with this. Voting inactive players does somewhat detract from lynches because it costs us some information. Inactivity means that they haven’t been interacting with anyone, and we can’t really gain anything from that. However it is likely better than lynching the hugely active players, since they are a valuable asset to the village. Another thing I think is noteworthy is that I’ve played a few games where the outcome was down to the wire and hugely based on activity, and a few inactive players really tipped the scale. In that sense it might be better to lynch them early on.

I was in the process of searching through DeTess’s posts and interactions looking for information to back up my suspicions. Mainly my vote on them was to spur a response, as well as making sure I did have a vote this cycle. As with anything in this game, it’s subject to change. It just made sense to put something out there rather than nothing. The reason I say less information for the group due to PM’s is that a large chunk of moving information is between only a few select players. It’s also pretty limiting to those of us who don’t use PM’s, or like myself don’t know how to use them effectively.
