Concerto ran out his back door as a cheetah and skirted around the cave to get a better look at the people attacking his lair.

"That is true. But I don't know, the motel isn't my favourite place. Maybe my dad would understand you not wanting to stay there?"

Why would anyone attack us, though? Especially dragons or griffins, who are probably just as confused as I was when I got here!

"Oh-I mean... alright. I could ask my dad if you could stay with us!"

"No, that doesn't sound familiar. I hope you find her, though. Does that mean you're leaving?"

"Thank you. I'm sure it's due to my expert tutor." She cracked the last egg in. "Finished!"

"Star Oakenwey? No, I don't think so. What do they look like?"

Ava blushed. "Uh... yeah. Are you staying for long?"

"Thank you." Ava tucked her hair behind her ear. "Um... are you new in town?"
