  1. I can explain! I can explain! ...or, rather, I don't need to. When I post it, you'll know why I sent it to her rather than post it right away.
  2. Queen, you can't complain. I sent you a chapter. Also, guys, I am working on it. Once I'm done Chapter XII, I can post XI and get working on XVI.
  3. Leonie nodded, and pushed her pancakes away; she had lost her appetite.
  4. Aerith turns to see a man carrying the girl from earlier. "Oi, hey!" He yells. Aerith tosses a fireball at the man.
  5. "What?" Leonie asks, then thinks for a minute. "Did you... know anybody named Voh?"
  6. "What do you mean?"
  7. Aerith jumps to the side, but one of the knives grazes his arm. He grunts, grasping his bicep, which had begun to sting. He cast a series of fireballs at the viper.
  8. Leonie nodded. "What about you, Ash? What kind of family do you come from?" @Vapor
  9. Aerith spun around, hurling a fireball at Krait.
  10. "Is it really all bad? I mean, you don't have to worry about marrying into some noble house to carry on the family name."
  11. Aerith stood over his charred foe. The lion had fought well, leaving behind no small amount of wounds. He pressed his fingers against a cut on his forehead; they came away red.
  12. "Yeah, they are." Leonie carefully wiped her fingers with a napkin. "What's it like, having siblings?"
  13. Leonie fell silent.
  14. "I know the feeling."
  15. Leonie continued cleaning off her plate. "I never had any siblings."
  16. "How did you manage to sigh with a mouthful of pancakes?"
  17. The lion sprang out of the way of Aerith's fire. Aerith, in return, cast a wide arcing flame at the amal.
  18. Aerith tips his helmet-hat. "Yes, ma'am." He spins around and kicks some fire at the lion.
  19. "Yeah... me too." Leonie also grabbed a plate of pancakes, drizzling on a layer of syrup. She daintily takes her fork and knife, eating like a proper gentlelady.
