Janice screamed, then fell into a deadly rage and attacked Kane.

Jeana polishes off her most recent creation: Yew, 13 inches, Dragon Heartsting Core, and, uh... Stiff. Pretty powerful wand for a pretty powerful wizard. She blew the dust off of one of her boxes and placed the wand in it carefuly. "Bill!" She calls. Bill pokes his head in. "Yes, miss?" "Go ahead and deliver this to Mister Smith, will ya honey?" "Yes, miss." He picked the box up gingerly and retreated outside. When he was gone, Jeana relaxed back into her chair. "Finally filled a quota, sweetheart," she told herself, "maybe I can stay afloat this month?"

Janice yelped, whipping her dagger out of her boot and grasping it in both hands, guarding herself and Aryanna.

Janice's breathing turns shallow, and she has to force herself to act normal. On a train, unfortunately, there weren't many places for someone to hide.

"No, Lloyd, don't--" Janice sighs, the mutters to herself. "Sure, tell me to stop being so tense then just go talk to the people we're supposed to be avoiding."

"I am relaxed," she whispers, then realizes that she is not, in fact, relaxed. She carefully lets out a breath, settling herself into her chair.

Aerith points at a distant ridgeline. "That ridge is lined with holes. Let's start there." @Vapor

"Just stay out of their attention," Janice says quietly, "don't draw attention to yourself."

Janice scans the compartment, careful to keep her face hidden from the Dusters.

"We're not going to get anything out of this person, Val. Let's keep moving."

"I'm an ex-soldier; I have a lot of influence to do stuff like leaving a town at lockdown. You haven't answered my question, though."

"How did you manage to leave the town? It was under lockdown from the Amal attack."

"I'm looking for a kid, about twenty, who was taken away from the settlement by a leopard Amal."

"You know who I'm talking about. Choral."

Aerith hops off the ridge and lands in front of Jane. "You know where that kid is, don't you?"

Janice hopped aboard the train, setting Aryanna down in the nearest seat and sitting down right beside her. @Vapor

Aerith glances between Valerie and Jane, mental gears working as fast as they could. He raises an eyebrow. "You look like you've been traveling for days... and if you've been traveling, then why are you going towards the village rather than away from it?"
