"Well, alright then. Seeing as how we're confined to this tiny walkway, I suggest we don't practice right now. We'll file that away for later, and in the case that we are inevitably attacked by a horde of angry monsters, you just stay invisible and poke things with those knives, mmkay?"

"Invisibility? A long as no dark lords and minions of said dark lord can't see you, then use it. As for teleportation..." Fadran thinks for a moment. "To what extent can you teleport?"

"Great! Now come back; I like being able to see you, for more reasons than one."

"Alright, then. You can turn invisible?"

Then use the term 'gold.' There were several mentions of the metal in the book, and it works every time even if it wasn't!

Umm... ignore the currency. Just throw out arbitrary numbers and call it a day. They did it in Star Wars; you can do it in a fanfic.

"It's just dangerous. Enhancing other people draws on your own power, right? In that case, then by drawing on someone else's magic, you could increase your own power. And it's... pretty easy to become corrupted with a power like that."

"Invisibility always works... teleportation is pretty good... hold up, did you say pull out other peoples' magic?"

"Being unnecessarily vague and silent? I suppose that could work."

"Here. Allow me to back it up a little. Combat magic is just magic used offensively. In my case, that's slinging around fireballs and bending tiny stones at people. For you, that's more likely, uh... dunno, actually. I still don't have your form of magic completely figured out yet."

"Uhh... kinda? I guess you can make just about any magic combat magic if you try hard enough."

"Dual daggers, then? That works. The best mindset for a dagger-wielder is to get in and get out. You spring at your opponent whenever you get the chance, and get back out before they can get you back."
