    It actually had nothing to do with the pronoun (I kinda skimmed the sentence). I just know that Fog's a bigger troublemaker. Let him know I said that. I want to know how he reacts.

    "Magic! I guess you can't deceive the Dark Lord; probably because most Dark Lords tend to be exceptional at lying!" He continued attacking. "Try not to fall back to much, or you won't be able to see where you're going. You'll lose your footing, and falling over basically means you die."

    "Because I happened to poke my head out the door at the wrong time."

    "Thanks, sir... again, I'm sorry I had to put you in this position." Fadran looked around the camp; it was so small. "You had four companies?"

    "Guard your left!" Ellis struck. "Be ready to avoid a jab at any time!"

    "I'm Valzwyn. You can call me Val. Or Wyn. Whichever you prefer." Val shook Minuet's hand.

    "Well, now you're Marshal Kailer, of... uh, how many Companies do you guys have? Maybe I should've familiarized myself with how this army's organized before I took the reigns..."

    Valzwyn found her way to this person. "Hey, I don't think I've met you quite yet."

    "We'll get some sleep, first. We leave at first light."

    Ellis closed his eyes, then thought back to the time when he had healed Q. The source... what had been the source of that? It was somewhere... he could feel it. Perhaps somewhere near his-- There. Ellis pulled at the source, then snapped open his eyes. The illusion of Melody had vanished to his sight, and the real one stood just behind him. "There you are." He attacked. He didn't delete any illusions; he just made it so that he can temporarily see through them.

    Fadran sighed. "I was hoping that I wouldn't have to lead another war. What's your name and rank?"

    "Uh... fire, earth, and water. I can apparently create heat (no surprise there), absorb heat, create objects, create sounds, increase my speed, and increase my senses." He shrugged. "That's just what the tests said. I haven't really experienced most of those things."

    Tuesday, December 1st. Well... for most of us anyways (sorry, time zone people!)

    Tomorrow, we begin the 17th Shard's Christmas! We have art, we have writing, we have a scudding advent calendar. It's going to be a full 24 days of pure, unconditional fun and joy!

    Here's a list of all the great activities we have planned:

    • Christmasy Narratives! Just a bunch of Christmasy writing dumped into one big thread. I, for one, will be heavily invested in this (assuming I don't procrastinate... again)
    • Secret Santa! Want to give stuff to some random Sharder? Head on over there! Lead by the one and only Hentient.
    • The Art Gallery! For all you doodly types, this is your home! Lead by revelryintheart (do NOT capitalize her name)
    • Christmas Stories and Traditions! Hop on over here for some wholesome fireside tales and traditions. Lead by Experience; a choice that seems right for this kind of thing.
    • Sanderson Carols! Ra-di-ant, ra-di-ant, breath in stormlight and bond spren! (I'ma leave this to the more... capable people...). This is lead by Vapor
    • Christmas Poetry! Basically carols but without the music and cheese. Lead by Nathrangking.
    • The Advent Calendar! Every day, Experience and I will drop two prompts for you: one made of words, the other made of emojis. Your job is to follow these prompts in any way you want, whether that be art, writing, or something else.
    • The Chapter-by-Chapter! No link to this, because there isn't a thread. Each day, one of us will write a chapter of a story, but the only context we have is the chapter the last person wrote! We'll release this at... some point. 

    So there you go! Have a wonderful time, everyone; and Merry Christmas!

      Ooo the chapter by chapter sounds fun, who’s in charge of that? Is it a PM? I don’t know if I have time to do it, but I’d like to follow along. Or maybe be a pinch-hitter of some sort.

    "Right, then. I won't hesitate." Fadran cleared his throat. "Wyrn has several unique individuals on his side; one of which had the ultimate choice of life or death over you general Daolan. To spare his life, Herate has given herself to Wyrn." He looked around. "She left me in charge, unfortunately."
