"Not for another six years. They just hatched a few days ago." Phaedrus looked up at everyone. "I haven't named them yet, and I could use some help."

Trace sent another burst of force at him, this time with the intent to break some bones.

"I love them I love them I love them sooooo much!"

Trace drew on her pain, fueling her Aspect and hurling Lloyd backwards against the wall.

"They're under here." Phaedrus pushed some straw and branches with her snout, revealing four sleeping, wingless, baby dragons.

"FINE! I won't kill you." Trace backed up. "I'll just maim you instead."

"SHHH!!! We're gonna see the baby dragons!!!"

The reindeer nuzzled her arm, licking the outstretched hand. -
The reindeer blinked again, this time incredulous, as if to say 'you mean I don't look like a real reindeer?'

"I am not your friend."

The reindeer blinked at her, a little confused to see a tiny eight-year-old child in his shed.

"Shhh!" Ollie hissed. "We're going to see the baby dragons!" "They're still asleep, little kippy. The're in there somewhere."

Phaendrus landed, but Ollie had hopped off even before then. "Where are they?"

"What the heck are you doing?"

"We aren't ready to bond a kippy until we're six years old. The little hatchlings won't bond for awhile. They're just down here." Phaedrus started descending to her nest.

"Now, now... okay, you can see them, but you have to be quiet. They're still growing their wings, and it makes them very tired, so they're probably asleep right now."

Phaendrus took off, Ollie and Emi on her back. "Where would you two like to go?" "Can we see the baby dragons?" Ollie asked. "Can we can we can we?"

"You can share mine!"

Ollie giggled, then ran off and whistled for her pet dragon: Phaendrus.
