Their base, huh? Adrienne thought, sitting down and sipping her drink.

"Kelsier?" Adrienne whispered, using the earring. "Where'd they go?"

"So you're trying to hide something. Great!"

"You're not hearing anything until you tell me why you hired a random bystander to go hunt the Ghostbloods."

"That? It was barely pocket change! I used half of it just to get here." She fumbled through her pockets and brought out what she had left. "Here's what I didn't use, plus some that I found."

"What money? You were going to pay me."

"We're gonna make some changes and pick this place out of the mud."

Janice smiled and held out her arms. "C'mere."

"You didn't tell me they were protected by the Ghostbloods."

"Would... you... like to be my friend again?"

Adrienne sat across from the hooded guy.

I've always wanted to do that. She grinned to herself, then scanned the area.

Adrienne didn't complain. She slapped Kelsier. Hard. After that, she grabbed her drink and stormed away from his table. She wasn't even acting.

"Connection to what?"

"We're thinking we could renovate the camp."

But, by 'virtually unnoticeable,' he became incredibly suspicious to Adrienne. She got a drink and sat down across from him.
