    “Kay.” Leonie looked up at her friend. “Can we go make cookies now?”

    Fadran condensed the essence of energy into his sword, dropping the earthen wall. With a grunt, he released the power outwards: a chain of lightning blasted across the many creatures. @xinoehp512

    "Wh--what? I don't... have any traps." Her head dipped. "Mmkay. G'night."

    "Mmm... Allivia?" Katie muttered sleepily, rubbing her eyes. "Where's Wendy?"

    Wendy shrieked, head knocking against the door from the impact. She dropped to the floor, unconscious; blood dribbled slowly from her hair.

    "Thanks, Zolver." Wendy smiled and backed into the waitresses' quarters, closing the door behind them. Without turning around, she spoke. "Let's make one thing clear, Allivia. You are not in charge here, and you never will be."

    Probably safer than the guards' quarters, Wendy thought. "Yeah. I'll be alright."

    "It's alright." Wendy relaxed. "Sorry. But I'm good anyways. And I have to stay on-call for the mornings anyways, so I... guess I'll head on back now."

    "Whoa, hey," Wendy shook her head and backed away. "Nono. None of that, please."

    Wendy glanced down at her wrist, winced, and covered it back up again; that'd take a day or two to heal.

    Wendy yanked her arm out of Allivia's grasp and walked over to the guard, cupping her wrist with her hand.

    "You can't do that." Wendy growled, yanking her arm away again. "Now can you please let go of me!"

    "We got mine early so I could take Arabella and Katie out! Ask the taskmaster; she let me."

    "No I wasn't! What in the world do you have that I'd want to steal?"

    Wendy frowned. "What?"

    "What are you planning, then? Where are you taking me?"

    "Now--you--" Wendy tugged against her. "He's not yours. Maybe he doesn't know what he wants but that doesn't mean you get to decide for him!"

    "If you're God, then I don't want any part of it." Wendy tried to tug her arm away again. "What you are is a slave driver, Allivia. Nicolae doesn't want any part of your arrogance either."

    Wendy yanked her hand out of Allivia's. "No."

    "OW! Hey!" Wendy grabbed for her hair as well and pulled it away. "What in the world--?"
