  1. Lenn swallowed. "Okay?" This had gotten really weird really fast.
  2. "Alright?" He followed, nervous.
  3. Elya let out a breath. That made things a bit easier, at the least. She checked under all the bandages, prepared to replace each one, but ended up throwing each away and leaving the wounds to sit. The scar tissue was pale and new, but it was there. The marks of old scabs, uncontrolled infections, and heavy bleeding were everywhere--it really did look like they'd been there for months in a moment. After cleaning off the blood, adding a bit more antiseptic just in case, and removing the stitching she'd added, Elya took a seat on her own cot. She, too, was incredibly exhausted; but she could wait for Ji to get back, at the very least. For now she took off her jacket and quietly stitched up all the holes it had accumulated recently--at least there weren't any large bloodstains this time.
  4. "They... uhm. They went downstairs."
  5. "Verim, if you can get yourself inside, just rest for now." Elya continued half-carrying Lyanor. "I'll see where you got her to." @Fallapede @DramaQueen
  6. "Alright. You go with this newcomer and recover the prisoner."
  7. "It's only a muscle relaxant. It'll wear off after a few hours."
  8. "What time is 1:30?" - @Symphematric
  9. "I always throw them," Elya replied. "It should have him completely paralyzed within a minute or two; longer, if he knows how to counteract the poison."
  10. "I don't wish him further harm either." Elya reached into her jacket, pulling out a single dart to hand to him. "Funnily enough, I would like to provide him some answers too."
  11. "Had I wanted him captured in the first place, it wouldn't have taken me long." Elya scanned her memory, wondering if he had actually been watching. There had been a few bystanders; he could've been one of them. "Could you bring him in alive if you could paralyze him?"
  12. "If you can't defeat Ne'ik, then Ji could kill you in moments."
  13. This can't be good. "He knows where we are and what our abilities are. If you can't capture him, then stay here. Help Ji take care of our wounded." @Mystic Syn
  14. "Yes." He escaped on his own? Or was there someone else? Elya slid the knife back up her sleeve, her free hand now going towards her sword hilt; but then there was Verim and Lyanor, both weak and injured. She couldn't leave them--but she couldn't let the prisoner get away. "Alright. If you would like to join us, then please start by capturing him again."
  15. There was someone in the building; and it wasn't Ne'ik. Elya fingered a throwing dagger with her free hand, quietly steadying her breathing. Her senses were a bit awry with Lyanor's weight against one side, but she could compensate for that. Unless it was a very certain someone, Elya could take care of whoever this was. "Who's in there?" Elya asked. "And be quick about it." @#1 Taln Fan
  16. I had a really weird dream last night.

    It was also awesome.

    Spoiler

I'm opting to skip over the first part, where I was at school for some reason. All I really remember from that were a bunch of people making out (masks on) in front of literally everybody; which is weird, because nobody makes out here. Or they get a room, at least. I remember one guy breaking away at one point and looking around with this completely flabbergasted look on his face, like "Where am I? What's going on?"

I guess I kinda ended up not skipping over that. Oh well. Onto the cool bits!

So, in case there are any Ghibli fans out there reading this... props to you. This was a very weirdly Ghibli-like dream; which definitely has nothing to do with the fact that I was also randomly Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service.

Why was I Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service?

I don't know why I was Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service!

Anyways, that doesn't really matter. I'll throw a little thing in a spoiler box at the end going through the bits of the dream that concerned the fact that I was Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. They aren't exactly important, but if you've seen the movie and want to know, it'll be there.

The dream started with the climax. I don't know why (or how, frankly). I'm not going to describe it yet, because... y'know. Spoilers. We're going back to the beginning.

I'm a lil' child girl (Kiki) in a strange world. How did I get here? Dunno! What's going on? Dunno! After wandering around for a bit in a big grassy field (there was also a stone bridge over a little river), I stumble upon this friendly dwarf wizard dude. He's about me-sized, but really large around in a kinda goofy, disproportionate way. Like a garden gnome; he's got the hat and everything. He also has a massive beard that covers pretty much all of his face except his eyes, and wore really baggy blue robes.

He lived under the bridge, I'm pretty sure. He was pretty sketchy and weird (as most dwarven wizard gnome hobos tend to be), but in a really charming sort of way. He let me know how to get out of this world and get back home. I don't actually remember anything he said (other than that it was all really salty and cryptic), but it all had something to do with this storm of darkness off in the distance.

So I started my adventure. In the dream it didn't take very long, but imma reaaaaaaaally stretch it out when I inevitably write it into a short story, because presumably I ran into a bunch of frens along the way. I don't really remember any of them, but they all show up at the end for the climax bit, so I must've met them eventually. Anyways, I remember that the whole place was really just a bunch of really grassy hills and fields, with flowers and trees and bushes. There were mossy rocks here and there, lots of butterflies and wildlife, the sky was super clear; it was just generally a really pretty, scenic place.

The last fren I stumbled upon was a guy who lived in a really, really pretty house at the edge of the darkness. I don't actually remember what he looked like, but I'm pretty sure he was tall and slender, like an elf. He might've been wearing red--I don't really remember. He also had a companion of his own: a snake, I think, though I might be wrong. I'm gonna get back to describing his house, though, because it was the coolestest house I've ever seen and I loved it to death.

It was like a mixture between a hobbit hole and a forest hut. It was kinda built into a hill and on top of natural stones, but also with stones and wood of its own to make a really natural shape. The whole thing blended together into this amazing structure like you'd see in a fantasy universe. There was a cobblestone path up to the door, lots of bushes and flowers, and also a little shrine out in front.

Imma draw your attention to this shrine for a moment, because it's kinda important. It was in a little alcove between the hill and the house, and consisted of a bunch of little... mini-shrines? Sub-shrines? They were each one large-ish rock with several smaller rocks lined up in front of them. There were five or six of them--maybe more--and each was a different color (kind of muted reds, oranges, blues, etc). So just imagine a few of those in a little hole by the house, and you've got a pretty good idea of what it looked like.

So now I was at the storm of darkness. It's completely impermeable by any normal means: simply touching it is enough to kill you. But somehow it was gonna take me home. I don't know how or why, and neither did dream me. However, all the frens I made along the way wanted to help, so they all came to this guy's house to try and push back the darkness (or something?).

I remember there being the blue wizard dwarf man, the red snake-fren dude, a green plant lady(?) (she was really tall, really thin, and really... smooth? I swear, she was just one big leaf shaped vaguely like a humanoid with a female voice), plus some other frens that my dream never bothered to specify.

And... that's kinda where my dream ended. That was the climax. They were gonna push back the darkness... but they never finished. I never went back through to my regular life. I just woke up before it could end.

At one point the snake (not the dude with the snake--the dude with the snake's snake) went into the darkness and vanished into a purple mist. I don't know if it was sacrificing itself or if it just made a mistake or anything else. All I remember is that the snake died; and when I checked later, there was another little rock shrine by the house.

So I guess I don't know how the story ends. I never got that far. Maybe that's by design; it means that I can make the ending up myself.

But I'm gonna need y'all to LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE if you want me to write the story! If I can get to ten thousand likes by next week I'll write the story for all of you to read! So smack that like button, leave a comment, share this video--

    *cough*

I mean... yeah, if y'all are down, I'll write it.

Also here's the Kiki stuff (for anyone who's wondering):

    Spoiler

I only remember the green plant lady thing because she was like "We have to get you out soon! We can't have you missing your big day!" My brain filled in the rest; by big day it, of course, meant the day that I (Kiki) left on my (her) big adventure, as all witches do when they come of age. So there's that. It was, quite literally, a prequel to Kiki's Delivery Service.

    And I don't know why.

Last dream I had involved Sokka from ATLA, and many Doomslugs from skyward.

I can rarely remember my dreams, much less in this much detail. Impressive!

  17. "I've got a pretty decent target in mind. It'll take me a minute to fine tune a route, though."
  18. "To an extent, yeah. It's a bit too expensive to equip literally every militant individual with bulletproof armor, even for a Clan this big."
  19. "I'm not entirely sure what kind of magic we all have. I've got some cool stuff from my universe, though a lot of it isn't super effective outside its own borders. Apparently we have two Narrators, which is good, and some folks from the Cosmere. As for the weaponry here, they're mostly just regular rifles: the kind of thing you can carry around and shoot with in pretty much any situation. Nothing super advanced." @Experience
