  1. “That’s the problem… because tracking people across universes is significantly harder than across galaxies or planets. From the looks of things that stranger was from a universe with similar physics and dictating laws, which helps; and in order to come here it would’ve had to have been an open universe in the first place. All that’s just to say that it’s possible, but tracing him down directly in the infinite sum of infinities is going to take some trial and error.”
  2. “I imbued some of Icona’s essence into that paper I gave him. With some fenangling we could get a portal set up to there in just a few hours.”
  3. “Icona.” Done. Fadran took a piece of paper and handed it to Tacien. “Hey, mind holding this for me?”
  4. "I don't think it's impossible." Fadran lightly placed a hand against Tacien's forehead, trying to read the type of magic the frost used.
  5. Drat. Fadran waited for a second to ensure the man was gone, then jogged over to where he had last stood. "Icona, any residuals?" Yes, but they're incredibly faint. I doubt they're traceable. He cursed - not a habit from his usual vocabuly - and let out a breath. "Cufre, how about you take your brother somewhere quiet for now?" He said.
  6. ARID- Vance's concentration skyrocketed in the precious few instants before the sword made contact. All the mud he'd slid through hardened in an instant, coating him in a rock-hard clay. His arms shot into a cross over his face instinctively, guarding him with another burst of air. It wouldn't be enough and he knew it, but - The sword crashed into him, and the shockwave of force on force sent him flying. Vance was thrown into the foliage, smashing through branches and splintering a dead tree clean in half. The last impact sent a heaving cough out his mouth, but broke his momentum and dropped him with an awkward tumble into the ground. The shield of wind and earth alongside a botched landing prevented him from taking any further damage, but impact from the sword and that tree... Blood dripped down from Vance's nose. Looks like I'll have to use that thing after all... He reached over his shoulder for the staff. But it wasn't there.
  7. "I don't believe you. Simple as that." Fadran dropped into a stance, fingers hovering just above the hilt of his blade. "Leave now. Don't come back."
  8. Try not to cause any more chaos for now… “Explain: why do you want this kid so badly?”
  9. I could try but I would fail
  10. Fadran was over by the invader in seconds. “Let go of him.” His words were steady and hard - like a blade.
  11. “And then we would have taken those trees down too. People fell hundreds a day to build the most basic of homes, just to survive the wind and rain. Two or three is not many.”
  12. Fadran, now holding just a strip of cloth, stared onwards - completely flummoxed. ”What happened?” He whispered to Nath.
  13. "Not unless we'd found more of that material, which I doubt would be the case."
  14. 'Whoa, there!" Fadran grabbed the boy by the back of his collar. "Careful. You'll trip if you keep going like that."
  15. Non-humanoid I can try but will almost definitely fail. What do the skiens look like?
  16. Seems it’s that way for all of us, Kaeni thought to herself.
