Hm.

Well we were talking about linguism, and our teacher wanted us to go onto youtube to find examples of various speech types. I decided to find as many as possible in "Never Gonna Give You Up" (spoiler alert: there were a lot), and put them into my google doc for the next day.

We were discussing these the following day, and when he asked for an example of a Commissive Phrase (a form of committment) I offered mine. He was like "Ah, yes. Well, I'm not sure if anyone's heard this song before, so let's play it just in case ;)"

So he played it in the background while we discussed it ("Never gonna give you up" is a commissive phrase because it concerns more than just the present and, of course, forms a committment). By the end he was like "for review" and it went into the chorus.

It was awesome.
