So I've never written a book with pen and paper before.
Why? Typing's just so much easier. There are people out there that say it isn't true writing if it's done on a computer, but I have to disagree with them. Prose is prose, one way or another. It's still our thoughts being translated to a page. And I mean... none of the finger-painting cavemen thought it was heresy when people started painting with brushes, and Egyptians didn't fight the Romans because they used pens instead of reeds--the Egyptians fought the Romans because the Romans were invading them. That's unimportant. Moving on.
Regardless, I have found issue with the fact that my writing ability is hindered whenever I don't have a keyboard available. To solve this problem, last night I grabbed a notebook and a pen, then proceeded to begin writing a narrative on paper like a filthy freaking casual.
What's it about? Fellowship of the Thing members might've met a character named Ayia. This narrative is her backstory, among other things. I've designed it to exist within the Macrosmos; heck, not just exist. The entire thing's about a multi-universal empire.
So... woo. There you go. My status has been updated.
Don't die!

Uhh... can't actually remember. I just remember I had a class about the 70s and the Beatniks (an interesting generation, to say the least), and how they were the first people to really type out books instead of write out books. Apparently, folks back then were opposed to the art, and I imagine that there are still zealots out there (like Stephen King with discovery writing), but it's nice to know that I won't get attacked by the entire public for typing out a book.
