  1. Someone else subtly threw the remains of the ruined muffin into some bushes. Moni continued glaring at Doomslug. "You think I'm only part of that plot?" She glanced briefly over at someone else. "You like baking? I like baking too." She took a bite of the croissant. "Wow. You're uh, a lot better at it than I am."
  2. Moni glared back and asked if Doomslug had a problem with her.
  3. Moni shrugged noncommittally. "Sure." "Well Jasper, nice to meet you. Sorry I ruined your muffin." She dusted herself off, then jumped as someone else proffered a croissant.
  4. Moni sniffed, helping someone up to his feet. "I'm not a narrator, and I wouldn't go looking for one if I was you. That one over there would probably try and get you killed somehow. I don't know if there are any nearby bakeries, but there's one in Flaffle village a couple miles east of here." she pulled out a piece of paper and began writing on it. "Oh, and my name's Moni. What's your's?"
  5. Someone else smiled. "Why yes I did, old family recipe." He winced as Moni knocked someone over.
  6. Yes. Yes it- Moni ran into someone, knocking him over. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Moni stuffed the paper into her bag. "Here, let me help you up." @AonEne
  7. Huh. Well, I hope the survey doesn't end for a while. And I'll try to avoid dying. Okay?
  8. Why wouldn't they? How long did they want the survey to be?
  9. Great. Why couldn't you just stay with me? Why would you die?
  10. I don't know. I thought you'd get filed away somewhere. You know, as a kind of record of my... whatever it is you're supposed to measure.
  11. Didn't come up?! What if I'd finished the survey? You would've just died! Someone else held out a muffin. "Want some food? Always get a good meal in before messing with narrators. That's what my grandmother always said. Before she was narrated out of existence, that is."
  12. Someone else gestured vaguely in the direction of a couple of ar-off indistinct blobs, one of whom someone could just barely make out as avatar of Adonalsium, god of the universe and ruler supreme. "Should be some over that way. Course, they're doing plot right now. If you don't like plot, you probably want to avoid them at all costs." He continued munching on his scone.
  13. Someone else glanced around. "I don't see a bakery around here. Sorry." He began munching on a scone unhelpfully.
  14. I'll pick Prof, cause his series is over and there shouldn't be too many plot twists left for him. Would you rather kill Lopen or Wayne?
  15. Well, I lost. Sorry guys. @Frustration you're coming down with me, as always.
  16. 463a. The exception to this rule is if the guide looks like they have a tragic backstory. Clues as to this include: conspicuous wedding rings, staring at a locket with tears in eyes, etc. 463b. The exception to this exception is if the person seems guilty over something. If this is the case, their tragic backstory has doubtless resulted in a loved one being kidnapped by the dark lord or some similar situation. It may still be worth accepting their help, as they will doubtless have a compelling character arc, but doing so will be perilous.
  17. Someone else blinked slowly. "I thought I'd told you that. I'm someone else."
  18. "You haven't figure out a name either, I see." Someone else said with a dour expression. "Always tricky, names are."
  19. Yeah actually that was me on the water thing, and I was totally wrong I think. "Yeah, evacuating cities is definitely not "attacking the withergeists" like you told me your avatars were doing. And do you expect me to believe that withergeists are attacking cities en masse and no one except you has noticed?" Moni threw up her hands and stalked off angrily. Someone else handed someone a cup filled with popcorn.
  20. "To save billions? They can't kill withergeists, the things are incorporable. They can't be beaten using brute force. I thought I told you they were practically invincible to anything besides Narration. All you avatars can do is die!" Moni was offended by the unrealism of the problem. Choices were never so cut and dry as killing some people or killing others. Unless crazy serial killers were involved.
  21. “And did they have a choice? If they’d wanted to, would you have let them do something else? Or did you make them for the sole purpose of dying for you?” Moni’s voice rose, a dangerous glint in her eyes. “Did you ever stop to think that maybe their lives were just as valuable as your own? That they deserved to live as they wished?”
  22. "One hundred and twenty seven?!" Moni slapped Thaidakar in the face. "You killed a hundred and twenty seven people?"
  23. Yeah you're definitely wrong, and they're definitely all dead. "Right, but how many of them have died?"
  24. "Do you even know all their names? How do you keep track of that many? And what happened to the thousands you made attack withergeists?"
