  1. As interesting as the Jasnah's morality debate is, we already have a thread for it, and this isn't it. Let's refocus the discussion focused on the hogmen question. To that end, I'll pose another hypothetical. Would it change your response if instead of the dead man being a hogman, he was instead a king?
  2. "That's be because she's bonded to a highly dangerous piece of paper." Nameless popped up behind him. "What's in the sack?"
  3. Interesting. I think that it does change things, at least a little bit, but to each their own.
  4. No. I'm asking if the fact that you placed something where you knew it would be stolen and then lay in wait with the specific purpose of causing physical harm to whoever stole the thing changes the morality of defending your possessions. Yeah, I agree. I think Jasnah was wrong to do what she did, but her actions weren't enough to mitigate the men's guilt in attacking her.
  5. So you believe that it would be right to take any actions towards the thief that would be right if they had, for example, stolen that same item off of your porch right in front of you?
  6. I'm curious as to what you mean by this. Why do the differences hardly matter as long as they're consistent?
  7. Did you leave it outside knowing that it would be stolen, with the intent for it to be stolen? I would find it hypocritical for you to complain about that thing being stolen, but the person who stole it still did something wrong. Let me ask another question: Would it be right to leave something outside and then hide near it, waiting for someone to come along and steal it so you can beat them up?
  8. Moni jumped out of the street, dashing along the edge of the road Are we in a futuristic city or something? And why are they flying so close to the ground?
  9. Nameless screamed and attempted to make a break for it, horde of chickens swarming after him.
  10. Nameless looked up from attempting to crush a Shardplate-covered chicken with the force. "These chickens are trying to kill me! Don't worry, I have it- OhstormsthatonehasaShardbeak!"
  11. Nameless decided to take Frustration's advice and blasted all the chickens away from his with the force.
  12. Nameless laughed. "You think your pecks can hurt me? Your claws and beaks would have to be as sharp as shardblades to do any damage!
  13. Alright. Let's get moving then. Moni poked her head out of the alleyway, then dashed out into the street.
  14. "Nice. How can I get one?"
  15. Moni glared defiantly at him. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm helping someone else set up Nameless' party."
  16. Nameless looked over at the bomb. "Could that thing kill some chickens?"
  17. Nameless stared in confusion for a moment, then gasped and teleported away as well. Moni looked around the site of Nameless' party. It appeared that someone else was frantically trying to get the party ready before the attack on the Witherlord began. "Oh, Moni! Thank goodness you're here! Tell Nameless that he needs to delay the plan for at least a few pages. He can probably just make up some macguffin side quest, but- wait. Weren't you trapped somewhere?" The Knight appeared. "Ah. I see."
  18. Huh. Neat. Moni grabbed the invitation and accepted it. She and the survey disappeared in a flash. "And why would that be?"
  19. "For some people it might be." Nameless pulled out his medallion and summoned another chunk of Earwaxium. "I can do it just fine." Moni blinked at it. Wait, how long have you been able to do that?
  20. Nameless sighed. "None of the above, actually. Darles Chickens. I hate Darles Chickens."
  21. Nameless decided to make a very intelligent decision. He threw himself towards the chickens and began attempting to chop them to bits.
  22. Nameless stumbled into the waiting room, wearing tattered clothing, face and arms covered in greyed-out lines. He plopped down in a chair, groaning softly. "I hate chickens."
  23. Aluminum affects connection and spiritual realm stuff oddly, and while I agree with you that the allomancy and the spiritual realm probably work like that, a soulcaster being able to access the spiritual and cognitive realms doesn't necessarily mean that aluminum doesn't block the connection to Preservation that is necessary for allomancy.
  24. 481. Learn everything you can about literary tropes, especially ones that involve tragedy.
