    That is a possibility, but given how long some Fused have maintained a semblance of sanity, it's probably not necessary yet.

    I don't think we do. Hundreds of years at least, given that (Warbeaker) In any case, it also depends on the person, as Leshwi has managed to stay almost entirely sane, while others among the fused are entirely insane.

    Well, Odium might not really care, and Honor might have been too busy fighting Odium/was already dead by the time it became a problem.

    Yep. Unless you count the insanity that comes from a long life, which seems to me to be similar to savantism. The Investiture required to be a cognitive shadow warps their souls.

    The Heralds and the Fused are probably protected from the negative effects of Savantism, as otherwise those who could soulcast would show obvious signs. The changes from savantism effect the soul, so unless the Heralds and Fused are completely shielded from the effects somehow, they should all be savants.

    Nameless rolled his eyes as he floated beside Thaidakar. "Why are you feeling lonely?"

    The ninjas were quite pleased with their success in ruining Thaidakar's date. They couldn't have enemy operatives getting in close to Thaidakar.

    Which was fortunate, as a bunch of ninjas chose that moment to attack Thaidakar with nunchucks.

    The officer rolled his eyes. "Enemies meaning people who are likely to attempt to kill her to get at you. This list should include every Narrator ever, as most of them either hate romantic relationships, or find it preposterous that a Narrator would concern themselves with one.

    "We'll look into it. For now, please inform your girlfriend that you are in fact a Narrator named Thaidakar, and give her a list of all your enemies."

    The officer sighed, exasperated. "And what day was it?"

    "Very well" The officer noted this, "And what time and day was this?"

    "When did you meet her, and did you Narrate around the time you met her?"

    Nameless did not appreciate the cursed text. "I can't even read this." One of the officers nodded, pulling out a pen and writing Thaidakar's words down on it. "What was the date and time of this encounter? And did you Narrate around this time?

    The Narrator police narrowed their eyes. "Yes, you can. Living a 'normal' life is a possible sign of insanity. What park did you meet in, precisely?"
