    The brave adventurer approaches the corpse slowly, sword held at the ready.

    The brave adventurer sheathed his sword and started walking through the village, peering into windows as he passed them.

    The brave adventurer picks up speed, sword moving with blurring speed and impossible precision as he slices through both shadow and arrow that try to reach him.

    The brave adventurer mutters a curse to whatever Narrator has gotten him into this mess, then steps out into the hallway and begins moving towards the end of it, deflecting arrows as he goes.

    The brave adventurer groaned again. “Why am I on the storming list? I’ve done basically nothing. I’ve got no powers of note, no skills of note, and I’m not all that smart either! Why would you want to kill me?”

    The brave adventurer groans, pressing himself up against the wall to dodge the arrows. “What event? Why did you choose me?”

    The brave adventurer sighed. “Why couldn’t I just open a shop and start blacksmithing? I was getting so good at it too.”

    The brave adventurer continues warily. “Look, whoever’s doing this, I know it’s a trap. Just come out already.”

    The brave adventurer summons what courage he has and begins moving down the passage, holding his hammer tightly.

    The brave adventurer touches the stone, groaning inwardly. This was going to go poorly, wasn’t it?

    Meanwhile, the brave adventurer approaches the ageless-looking woman standing by an ancient stone. “Hey. Can you bring me back to the place I was before?”

    “I’ll figure it out.” The brave adventurer begins walking in the indicated direction.

    “Waystones probably don’t allow travel into the world I’m heading back to. Could get me near it though. Where did you say they were?”

    The brave adventurer sighs. “Walking. What else would I be doing?”

    The brave adventurer sighs and begins walking slowly back to his shop. Trust Shadow to strand someone who knows how far from his shop, no way to get back. Typical godlike being. — Moni slammed a book shut and put it down on the table beside her, threatening to knock down the sizable pile of books haphazardly stacked there. “This is… decidedly more boring than I thought it would be. 655, you have any luck? All the books I’ve read don’t help at all.” @xinoehp512

    The brave adventurer looks down at the knife. “Yes, I’m sure. I stay far away from Moni. She’s dangerous. Perhaps more dangerous than whatever threat you see coming.”

    The brave adventurer shrugs. “Sorry, no clue. I’m sure you’ll be able to figure something out though.”

    The brave adventurer stares at Micheal for a moment. Then, slowly, he shakes his head. “I can’t help you there, sorry. If it can kill avatars and Narrators, I won’t be any use against it.”

    The brave adventurer raises an eyebrow. “It was Moniker. And I have no interest in going on any quest that involves an Avatar that killed her own Narrator.”

    The brave adventurer lowers the hammer slowly, eyes moving rapidly between Shadow and Micheal. “What kind of quest?”

    The brave adventurer appeared with a befuddled look on his face, hammer held over his head.

    Subversion’s Curiosity looked on from the shadows, wondering what was going to happen next.

    Subversion’s Reasoning shook her head. “It’s logically impossible to find Nameless. He’s gone. Getting him back would be against the will of an Author for Plot’s sa- Subversion’s sense of Story appeared, cutting off Reasoning. “If thou seek the return of the Nameless one, first seek the one who brought about his end.” With that, both Subversions vanished.
