    "Indeed." The brave adventurer gestures to the side. "You could have stepped onto that tripwire over there that's linked to an arrow trap," he gestures to something behind him "or fallen into that pit of spikes over there."

    The brave adventurer helps Second back to his feet. "Well, that could have been worse."

    The brave adventurer pulls a knife out from under his cloak and hands it up to Second. "Here. Cut yourself down."

    The brave adventurer peers down the path in front of him. "Good to meet you too. Do you have any idea how you got here?"

    "Sure. As long as you don't turn evil on me or anything." The brave adventurer starts walking down the street towards the edge of the village. "Two heroes are better than one, after all."

    The brave adventurer grins. "Probably! There was a scary evil guy that told me that I needed to be eliminated, so I figure we're both going to die unless you have some sort of incredible powers."

    The brave adventurer offers the squirrel a peanut. "Don't worry about it. We're probably both going to die here, so you won't have to see anything really strange."

    The brave adventurer laughs. "Like this? No. This is pretty tame compared to the kind of thing that happens regularly."

    “Just one of those things. You’ll get used to it.” The brave adventurer walks over to a house and kicks it.

    “Think nothing of it.” The brave adventurer glances at the street. “Seems like we were asleep for some time.”

    The brave adventurer tosses the second adventurer a bottle of water. “Here. You look like you need this more than me.”

    The brave adventurer offers the second adventurer a drink of water. "How'd you get here? Evil entity hunting you as well?"

    The brave adventurer yawns, but decides not to go back to sleep. Instead, he heads out towards the second adventurer and nudges him.

    At least no one had summoned him yet. Most likely they didn’t know how to do so.

    Meanwhile, Subversion's Megalomaniacal god-complex and Pride were extremely vexed. Together, they held all the ego of a rather arrogant Narrator, but less than a tenth of a Narrator's power to go with it. And if that wasn't enough, there were also an impressively large number of people that Subversion had angered at one time or another, and as it turned out, some of them really couldn't let go of a grudge. And so it was that pride and Mg-c ended up tied to a pair of stakes, wrapped in chains made of their own essence and surrounded by a mob made up of basically everyone Subversion had ever wronged. the fact that no one in the mob appeared to have a weapon capable of killing them was a slight comfort, but it didn't look like the mob particularly cared about that tiny detail. At least Platypus hadn't showed up.

    Nameless steadied himself briefly, then extended one hand to the side. Mist gathered and a Blade appeared, glowing with a full spectrum of light. "Wanderer. I am ready to begin. Shall we start?" @Goob
