    Shim's glow shifted to the color of sunlight at Ayia's words. "Excellent. I'm glad your leader is sensible, even if some of you aren't. All I wish to do is observe you on your quest, and perhaps offer some aid."

    Moni watched Feanor go, expression shifting from anger to frustration. "Come on everyone. Let's go. I think we've gotten everything we came for." "Oh, hi Platypus." Moni sighed. "Tell me, how do you think we should stop Feanor?"

    Shim spoke up. "Shimoeth Akladin. I doubt you've heard of me. I was cursed a long time ago."

    "I'm not obsessed, I just-gah!" a ray of very bright light shone directly in Strohger's eyes. "I'm just intrigued. He's cursed, I'm cursed, he has strange powers, that sort of thing. This Strohger fellow just doesn't want to trust me because he's upset that you don't trust him."

    The light flashed angrily. "For the last time, I could go through without your help. And I'm not an eldritch spirit. My soul is human. Well, mostly. Partly. Alright, I'm slightly eldritch, but I am still human when you get down to the heart of the matter. And going through the portal won't undo my curse or help me in any way." "I want my curse to be broken, although I doubt you can help with that. For now, I just want to follow your group. You all seem interesting, particularly Variance, and being an entity purely made of light gets boring sometimes."

    Moni clenched her hands into fists, stepping closer to Feanor. "Well let me tell you this. You might think the brave adventurer was a dangerous enemy, but I am far more dangerous. Whatever your plan is, whoever you are going to kill, I will stop you." She took a deep breath, face a mask of anger. "I will make sure you can never hurt anyone ever again." Unintelligible leaned towards Sequence. "Can you do something? Before Everyone kills him, I mean." @Sequence

    "Indeed. His powers appear to affect perception and not one's physical form, so they should work on me in approximately the same way as everyone else."

    "I said I wasn't a deity, just a cursed sorcerer. Didn't mean to imply I couldn't pass through the portal. I can't teleport on my own, but I can use most teleporters and portals."

    "In that case, why didn't you go after Unintelligible? Or Platypus? or an avatar like Rym? Surely they'd be far more threatening than someone new like the brave adventurer."

    Moni looked taken aback. "You... disconnected him from his Author? Why go to so much trouble to kill someone who was a simple character?" She paused. "You... thought he was Nameless, didn't you?"

    "Should function similarly. Even if it doesn't, I'm not exactly normal light. I have a few tricks." The light flashed a deep, sinister purple. "And while I will admit that Variance might be able to do something to me-it's why I waited until he was gone to introduce myself-I very much doubt you can do anything. What exactly are you going to do, shout at me?"

    "Your ship carries light with it when it jumps just as it carries you, so that isn't a problem."

    The voice laughed, and a beam of light landed in front of Strohger, intensity shifting in time with the laughter. "Really? you can affect incorporeal light?"

    Unintelligible backed away further. "Oh, I'm not worried about you stealing from me. Just putting some distance between myself and the blast zone, that's all." "Our names are: Imagination, Curiosity, Power, Reasoning (that's me), Whimsy, Emotion, Story, Pride, Honor, and Megalomaniacal god-complex. And no, I have no idea how it's going." Reasoning sighed. "I'm not nigh-omniscient anymore, unfortunately. Power might be, but she probably can't use that ability very well." Moni sheathed her dagger forcefully. "How did you kill the brave adventurer?"
