    Subversion felt the sudden need to clarify her previous statement for no reason in particular. "I mostly didn't join Feanor because he was the one who split me in the first place and, you know, he tried to kill Curiosity. I was just surprised that I cared so much about that, when previously I would have brushed it off far more easily."

    “That’s… huh. I always thought authors were invincible, but I guess that’s not true in every case.” Subversion shrugged. “Well if there’s anything I can do to help, just let me know. I owe you one.”

Just needed to talk about this." Subversion sighed. "Stupid character development. Aren't narrators suppose to be mostly immune to that?"

    Subversion is impressed at Falvan's speed, given how far away he'd been mere pages ago. "We're talking about the unfortunate developments related to my character."

    Subversion shook her head. "Don't think it'll work. I've tried, but I can't bring myself to stab Platypus in the back and join Feanor like I was planning to originally."

    Tress of the Emerald Sea's ending was the worst part of the book, and Yumi’s ending was much better.

    Well him yelling "I only need zero" could just be a coincidence. Maybe he really needs the number zero.

    "A good thing? But what am I supposed to do when I want to blow up a planet, or ruin a character's life? How can I fulfill my duties as a narrator if I feel bad about it?"

    I think Desolation split into a bunch of different copies and went to chase everyone individually.

    Something powerful to kill something that could threaten a Narrator has to have consequences. The blade continues acting up, energy attempting to rip apart Hacob's soul.
