    "I'd try too, but if it's Desolation, I can't afford to use my powers much. He's already got a connection with me, and narrating only makes it easier for him to steal my narration."

    "Desolation?" Subversion called, putting up a shield to stop the rain from falling on her. "This is you, isn't it? Show yourself." @Aeoryi

    "Oh, don't worry. When I do decide to fight you, I'll be sure to attack head-on. That way, it'll be much more embarrassing when you lose."

    "Yep! I'd say you're number two, although some recent developments have moved you pretty close to number one. Don't worry though, I'll wait at least until Desolation's dead to attack you."

    "I'm not going to tell you. You're in the top three of people I'm most likely to use it against."

    "Yeah. It's the most powerful weapon I've ever had, at least potentially. It disappeared shortly after Desolation returned."

    Subversion steps back, reaching into her pocket to find it still empty. "Fights were a lot less nerve-wracking when I had a trump card."

    Subversion nodded. "If that's what you have to do, that's what you have to do." "Sleeper, no knocking him out this time."

    "Oh yeah, I guess people getting hurt would be bad. But Platypus hates me. If I or anyone else associated with me tries to stop him from hurting that guy, he'll probably assume we're attacking him."

    "You don't know that. He was just gathering his power to do something. You're just jumping to conclusions." "Don't worry about the fighting Eldyn, they'll stop soon enough."

    "Hi Sleeper. Nice to me-" Subversion cut off, looking at Eldyn. "Hey. That's not nice Sleeper." Eldyn wakes back up.

    "Νο, Ι said they're normally nonviolent, nice people." Subversion was distracted by all the fighting, preparing a shield in case of stray attacks. "I have no idea what's set them all off like this."

    "You're trusting me to keep someone alive?" Subversion looked at the new guy. "Hi. What's your name? I'm Subversion, and this other guy is Eldyn." @TheRavenHasLanded

    "Great! Don't worry about them hurting you. As I said, they're all pretty non-violent." Eldyn and Subversion appear in the middle of the group on Urithiru, which just so happens to also be the middle of the fight. "This uh, isn't normally how they are." Subversion puts up a shield to block the shockwave from hitting her and Eldyn. "Hey guys! I brought someone new! He's called Eldyn, and he lost his memory." "Just don't hurt him unnecessarily." Moni turned to eye Subversion and Eldyn. "Who's that she brought with her?"

    "Feel free to. As long as you don't kill him, I'm not going to fight you over it. I was just saying that there is probably an easier way to stop him from being able to take the Blade, or at least a more humane one. You don't need to maim him."

    "Same here! You can trust me though. There's a big group of people I can take you to, and I'm sure at least one of them can help you. Probably."

    "Oh, that's fine then. But I'd think there'd be an easier way to restrain him. Or maybe you could just give that modified Plotblade to the Once-Author. I think that's what Drilk wants." Yeah. It would reverse any attempts to attack with direct Narration, but against a Narrationblade or any other sword I'm thinking it'd just be a really good shield.

    "Fine. Be a coward." Moni stopped his attempt to attack Drilk. "I'd stop them too."

    Moni jumped in the way of the attack, deflecting Platypus's blow. "Don't you start trying to kill him again." Unintelligible nodded. "Oh, that's fine. I'm still recovering from the effects of holding Side Character. Easy to miss me."

    "I think hiding is a bad idea. Come with me, and I promise I'll keep anyone from hurting you." Moni snorted. "Thanks Cognition. Keeps me from having to do anything." "I stand corrected." Moni drew her Plotblade and pointed it at Platypus. "I don't want to use this thing, but if you don't stop fighting, I will." Unintelligible looked hurt. "You don't trust me?"

    “I don’t think I’ve heard of that one.” Subversion frowned. “Say, do you want to go somewhere with more people? Maybe they can help you remember better than I can.”
