In addition, if you feel like learning more about the fandom's rampant speculation in addition to the little that we do know, there are two Shardcast episodes which might help you.
Here are the links.

Animals can be sentient, which means able to think for itself. However, only humans can be sapient, so we are technically both
It is most definitely sapience in the Physical which is granted by the Nahel bond.

I was under the impression that we had confirmation that conservation of energy does apply to the Cosmere.
I believe that @Randuir is right about the metal being converted back into investiture. We know that the metal goes somewhere and investiture is just the most logical place for it to go.

This quote relates directly to your question: www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=622#64
It's a little vague though. He says it's possible to gain all of the powers through various workarounds, and that Hemalurgy is one of those workarounds. However, he doesn't say that Hemalurgy work for all of them. The magic in Elantris seems especially hard to get, given how regionally locked it is. (Hoid apparently had some trouble with it, though he almost certainly wasn't trying to use Hemalurgy.)
My guess is that Hemalurgy isn't enough, on its own, to get all of the powers.
As an aside, there are upper limits on how much investure a Hemalurgic Spike can hold: http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1158#14
I believe that it is possible to gain the abilities more locally based through the use of Hemalurgic Connection.

I think duralumin fueled electrum would be your best bet. (Sorry if this counts as necroing I’m not really sure what the threshold is).
On 7/3/2019 at 2:16 PM, Karger said:If you burn atium with duriluminum you can see the ultimate consequences of your actions. If you have enough atium you might be able to determine it.
I agree that using duralumin with either atium or electrum is probably the only way to do this, if it's possible at all.
Additionally, I highly doubt posting a new comment that adds information to a discussion which is less than a month old counts as necroing.

The biggest problem I see with this is practicality. I'm sure there is some way to bond multiple of the same spren type, but if you're going to bond a second spren, why not get a spren that gives you a whole new set of surges, instead of one which the only new thing you get is a second blade, which you could get with any Nahel bond other than a Bondsmith.
As I said, considering the way which investiture works, it is almost guaranteed that there is some way to bond two of the same type of spren, but I personally would rather have two different spren, even if two of the same would give me some level of extra power in those respective surges.

Hello, I'm new to the forums, but not to Brandon's works. I've been reading his works for a while now and have read the following:
- Mistborn era 1 & 2
- Stormlight 1-3
- Elantris
- Warbreaker
- Arcanum Unbounded
- Reckoners
- The Rithmatist
- Skyward
- White Sand 1
- And most of White Sand 2
I have read the Mistborn books the highest number of times, and know Scadrial quite well. I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the community.

Allomantic metals being just "keys" And metal being solid investiture

I wouldn't put it quite that way. It is more like aluminum functions as a blocker to Investiture. The only case in which it consumes Investiture is when used in Allomancy. In other cases, it acts as a barrier or insulator for investiture.
