  1. Lynn laughed, this girl really hadn't changed much. Then she asked about Sky, "He most definitely isn't here. He'd rather eat his own tail, he hates bright colors and fake emotions." Lynn said, but that wasn't the only reason he wasn't here. For Sky was a very intelligent bird, fae magic could do that to animals, and he also hated people in power after the sleeping beauty incident. Unconsciously, Lynn rubbed her arms where her iron scars would be concealed by the glamour. @WrathofaShardKitten
  2. Lynn was getting a bit perturbed. Most of the nobles that Ash had introduced her to looked at her in a way that gave the impression that, if Ash wasn't there, they could tear her, verbally, and perhaps physically limb from limb. She knew that this kingdom and Briar's had a healthy alliance, but she had no idea things ran so deep. A flash of movement caught her eye and she turned and saw the girl from before, Allie. Finally, someone who didn't know who she was and who was fun to talk to. She excused herself, sending Ash a sympathetic look, for the man they were talking to was one of the most boring people Lynn had ever met. She made her way over to Allie, some of her annoyance fading. "Hi, Allie, right?" @WrathofaShardKitten @Bluest

  4. Today is my 1st Shardversary!!!!  It's been great!!!  As per usual, I have completely decimated a speech from... Lord of the rings... again,

Me when I joined the Shard: I can’t do this, I’ll forget my user, I’ll take the spiked cookies, Sam.

Me after the first while: I know. It’s all wrong. By rights I shouldn’t even be here. But I am. It’s like in the great cosmere, Mr. Frodo. The tenth pancakes that really mattered. Full of spikes and shardblades, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know where they came from. Because how could TUBA be real? How could the world go back to the way it was when so many cookies had been offered? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, these spikes. Even Introduction threads  must pass. A new post will come. And when the RPs shine they will shine out the clearer. Those were the cookies that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Sharders in those stories had lots of chances of turning away spikes, only they didn’t. They kept accepting. Because they were holding on to something.

Me when I joined the Shard: What are we holding onto, Sam?

Sam: That the Shard is a great place to Binge, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.

A special thanks to all the Mods, I really appreciate all the work you do on the shard!!!

Thank you all for an amazing year on the Shard!!!!

  6. Hello and welcome to the shard!!! Where tenth pancakes and sticks are held in the highest regard. What's your favorite non-Sanderson book?
  7. I think movies for me too, I'm probably biased, too, though.
  8. I can't drive, a few years too early, I'm afraid. I'd stay!

  10. Hi, I'm here! I'm under 18, can't vote, yep, I'm set! @Matrim's_Dice
  11. Lynn realized that this conversation had quickly become something she couldn't handle right now, so she let the matter drop, but not before telling Ash, "We will talk about this later." Then, she let Ash pull her through the crowd. @Bluest
  12. Lynn stopped Ash, processing what she had said. "Wait, guardian?" She said, her brow furrowing and looking at Ash with a mixture of emotions, suspicion, a dash of anger, fear, and, perhaps most surprisingly, hope. @Bluest
  13. Don't take it. You can never trust cookies, unless offered by me. What's your favorite non-Branderson book?
  14. "Really?" Lynn sounded surprised, wings were a pain to bring out, so she didn't understand not having them. She looked around, "Now that I've come, what do I do now?" @Bluest
  15. Lyn glanced at Ash, "You look great, too." Then Lynn glanced around, some people were staring at her, but none of them looked like they had put two and two together. She then looked back and smiled at Ash, "I'm fine. Just uncomfortable, how do you live without having your wings out?" She asked. @Bluest
  16. Lynn checked the time, then hurried to her room, put the violin back, and walked to the great hall, taking a deep breath before entering. She nodded to the guards to open the doors and went in. She felt too exposed without her wings, wanting to hide within their feathery depths, but she calmly walked down, deciding not to notice the expressions on people's faces when she walked. @Bluest
