It's almost exactly a year since The Gathering Storm was released? If they don't release it in November, then they have to delay it until like February? I'm not worried though, the store I went to still had plenty of copies of The Gathering Storm when I went to get it the day of, and there wasn't any line at all.

I don't remember him mentioning using stormlight to be sinful, and he tends to mentally freak out whenever he does something sinful. And I really doubt that the Shin see the storms if they don't have the strange geology the rest of Roshar does.

Not all bridgemen are slaves. And I'm pretty sure that bridgemen get 2 diamond chips a day, but those who are slaves (like Kaladin) get only half of that.

I have such torn feelings on this. So far, I like The Way of Kings better than any individual Wheel of Time book. On the other hand, WoT needs to finally end. I think we're on year 20 now? But I'm still sad that extra waiting needed for Stormlight Archive.

I find that while reading, I can completely tune out the rest of the world. I don't have to, but it allows me to keep music running in the background. I mainly do this because in the moments when I take a break, there's something going on.

That's Robert Jordan's job. (Or was, anyway) As for reason he RAFO'd it, he might just not have decided yet whether or not he wants to go that direction. I get the feeling he likes to keep his options open.

That last bit is kind of annoying. I hope you can turn stuff like that off... I mean, I like it obvious when a proc happens, but I really don't like the spells I'm supposed to use lighting up. It's nice for a beginner, but you're only a beginner for so long. One nice thing about eclipse is that you get eclipse faster with crits, and lose it faster with crits. So, you can't time how long you're going have the buff. It feels less... rotational.

When I get bored of rotations, I pvp for a while. It's very very hard to get a specific rotation when people are blasting you and stunning you and all that jazz. On the other hand, it's nice that the "rotations" in WoW are become more of "priority lists."

Yes, but most of the glyphs, no matter what type, won't change your rotation. The only exception I've seen to that rule is the Frostfire glyph, and that's just so they can still have a Frostfire spec for mages. Also, it's prime glyphs that boost damage. Quote from Ghostcrawler:

One big change for glyphs is that they won't be changing rotations anymore. For any class. DPS glyphs will be just DPS increases. (Finally)

It could also mean that his false trail was simply a trail that was on Roshar, but nowhere near the Shattered Plains. Perhaps they know he's on Roshar, and when Hoid realized that, he made it look like he was in some random country (I don't have my book, so I forget where they are looking).

I'm a geographer. I kind of HAVE to go with copper. Being able to memorize EVERY bit of spatial information in the world, and being able to remember it at will? <3 Also, I just love learning.

I fail to see how being immortal will help him with this...

It's really good. First of all, the eclipse buffs lasts for 45 seconds, so we finally can keep up while moving. Second of all, it's just a damage buff now, so we don't have a super ultra low crit cap. The rotation is a little more complex, though. It looks like you now always keep moonfire up, keep insect swarm up on solar eclipse, use starsurge on CD, and switch between wrath and starfire pretty often. When you're casting, you use up the buffs pretty quickly, so it's not spammy. I don't know how our dps is right now though, I don't have any addons on the PTR. My only complaint is that your spells that benefit from eclipse light up when you have that eclipse. It's kind of annoying.

I bet the 17th Shard has been around for a while. I think it more likely that if indeed Raoden is Thinker, then he just joined it when he got the info. It would be like him to do something like that. Kayana.

For REALS??? Also, Hoid might find it redundant to talk about Sazed holding both Preservation and Ruin. It's quite possibly common knowledge among people like Hoid.
