  1. It really depends on which bone is broken, and the way it is broken. Pain tolerance isn’t as big as you might think. A few years ago I was doing gymnastics, broke my left arm, stood up, and went and played some GaGa Ball (You might not know what this is, but it is where you are in an enclosure and have to try and hit other people’s legs with a ball.). I didn’t notice anything wrong for a while.
  2. Why? Depending on the drawback he would be fine. A broken bone doesn’t kill you.
  3. It doesn’t matter if there is a negative consequence if it incapacitates the compounder. In WoR

  5. Ya, but I was just describing where the word came from.
  6. We aren't withholding gold or atium. they each have the perfect amount so that if they started burning/compounding at the exact same time they would run out at the exact same time. I am saying that if they were to have a metal mind stolen, they wouldn't be able to compound for as long because a key ingredient was just stolen.
  7. *I am not making a religious statement or expressing an opinion. I am stating historical facts that are supported by documents and research.* I am currently reading the Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown. It is a fictional book, but it includes lots of actual historical facts. In the book I am reading right now, they are discussing pagan religions and historically what was worshipped. There is a lot that goes into this, but I will simplify as best I can. Almost every single religion, up until the time of Christ revered women as equal or superior to men. The main religion I am going to focus on is Christianity itself. Eve was revered as the woman who brought life into the world, with the help of Adam. She was revered as a sacred female, who needed to be protected and kept holy, sanctified for all time. In Hebrew, the name Eve translates to Havah. Eve was kept holy and sanctified, and now the havah protects the other women's sanctity. I think Brandon is keeping women protected in his books using the epitome of sanctity and holiness in the Christian religion. This was worded really poorly, but I hope y'all get the idea of what I am trying to say.
  8. You can only compound if you have gold to burn and reserves to draw upon. It is a complicated process, but having less metal minds or having less metal to burn would put you at a disadvantage.
  9. The compounder has to burn a lot more than the seer, in my opinion. A direct blow to the head would knock them out if they aren't compounding. They need to be actively healing when wounded to withstand certain types of injuries.
  10. What about the other guesses?
  11. I’m not a patron, so I wouldn’t know, but I assume that they don’t. For one thing, it would be unfair to give reputation to people because of money, and for another, the system required to evaluate the rep for being a patron would be kinda odd. @AonEne, can you offer insight?
  12. Make a meme and submit it quick! I don’t know when the submission period ends, but it might still be open!
  13. And the seer only has to burn atium when they are attacking or when the compounder gets close
  14. I guess it does depend. A ring like Sazed has could be taken off, but embedded in flesh like the Lord Ruler might be difficult. Also, taking off a bracer would be enough. The scenario states that they have the perfect amount of metals to have the exact same time of healing/future sight
  15. They only need to remove one to gain an advantage. Removing one takes away a small piece of metal, and will mean they run out before the seer.
  16. Reckoners and Cosmere have some similarities, but different functions. Also, precognition is not the same as seeing the literal future. Proximity wouldn’t affect anything. The deer’s mind is enhanced to be able to comprehend all the shadow(s). If the seer can remove even a single metalmind, they now have an advantage. The compounder will run out before the seer.
  17. The seer can see the future, so they won’t get injured while attacking. It isn’t hard to see big metal stuff on someone, and there are multiple instances of people ripping out spikes with relative ease. Also, slight side note, the seer can’t push on metals anyway, but it is possible for allomancers to push on embedded metals. Click on your name, click on Account Settings. Once in Account Settings go down to the bottom-most option that is Signature. Type something there and press save!
  18. What if the seer removes the “immortality” aspect from the gold compounder? The seer jumps around and rips the metal minds off, and now this compounder is just a guy who can use gold.

  20. I always access the Shard either from my phone or my computer. For literally 2 years my computer stayed logged into the Shard on its own. During the past week, I have noticed something odd occurring. Whenever I use my phone to look at the Shard, it logs me out on my computer. Whenever I use my computer to look at the Shard, it logs me out of my phone. I always click the “remember me” box. Is there an explanation for this?
