  1. Oh darn. There's a lot of characters I'm cycling through my head now and I love all of them for their arcs. I guess I'll split this, one for one I emotionally dislike and one that just annoys me based on how the character has been/was objectively written. The first I would say I just don't like them is Moash (obvious reasons) or Dockson (Who, I believe, was the one who didn't like Elend, and that bothers me). However, I can narratively understand them and accept that it's their well written characters. For the second, I don't like what has happened with Shallan, but I'm coming around.
  2. Which depends on the Law the specific Skybreakers follows? Because a different, possibly unorthodox, government could go against another nation's laws while the Skybreakers identifies with that government's form of law or even having a society that has promoted/evolved a law that goes against what we might perceive law to be. With Skybreakers' placement now, it does seem difficult to swear the fifth oath as they might be morally apprehensive to murder. Unless possibly brainwashed/manipulated to think death is the proper consequence for even the slightest transgressions.
  3. Greetin— Hello—, no... hmmm... Storm it. Radiants! I'm glad to have finally introduced myself. I recently created my account *cough*in January*cough*, and am happy to dive into all sorts of Cosmere information. I stared tWoK last fall and finished OB this last spring and have since got through Warbreaker, started Elantris, and almost done with Era 1 (just started HoA). Most importantly, I have successful determined that this is my favorite universe. Shy as Vin, emotionally destabilized as Szeth, about as eccentric as Wit, while contemplating as much as Hrathen. Hopefully that made enough sense. As one does, any questions are welcome and I promise I won't (hopefully) get too much wrong in my first week. Journey before destination. I have spoken. -Szeth the Truthless
  4. Which depends on the law. With Szeth's third and fourth ideals, I could see other Skybreakers, now or in the past, swearing the Ideal of Dedication and Crusade to less-than-honorable people/causes based on their perception and their spren. It seems that the Skybreakers now don't have the right intentions for swearing the Ideal of Law. They act without the discipline necessary and they also have to believe what they are following is truth to them. All seems to be based on the circumstances of the Radiant and perception of the spren.
  5. Is this due to their choice in OB? But I guess I understand it as society on Roshar is far different from what it was when there were more full-fledged Radiants and thus anyone becoming a Skybreaker has a difficult time going beyond that. As well as feeling they don't deserve it with Nale's expectations/example well beyond their ability level/beliefs.
  6. I guess in a way the gods themselves are characters. So which powerful character is running it all? I don't think there would be one controlling it all, but possible different party influencing the main characters. For example, we've seen Wit have some influence with his stories/songs with the characters. Then they use surgebinding to perform some epic stuff.
