  1. Jenny growled. This wasn’t a regular fear. Subconsciously, she responded. An aura of dread now surrounded her as well. It wasn’t nearly as powerful, however. ”You need to tell us. Now.” This guy was on thin ice. Literally, she supposed, glancing at the frost coating the ground.
  2. “I know how you feel, and I’m sorry you feel that way.” Jenny’s tone had softened somewhat. She sympathized with the guy. Her frost didn’t melt yet, however. ”But you still need to tell us why you are here.”
  3. Jenny stood, now angry. The pain was nothing to her in that moment. ”I can take care of him. I’ll take care of you if I need to, too.” Frost began to quickly spread out from her feet, covering the ground beneath the group. The temperature dropped significantly. @The Aspiring Archivist @RoyalBeeMage @Weaver of Lights
  4. Jenny finally drew her dagger and looked at Roy. ”Roy, that’s not what civil means. Remember the last time you tried to converse with your weapon out?” She pointed at the bloody bandages on her side.
  5. Jenny sighed a long, long sigh. ”That depends on how close you get without saying why you’re here. Aaron probably won’t kill you, but I can’t say the same for Roy here.” She nodded towards Roy. ”If we know why you’re here, we can at least have a civil conversation. I promise I won’t let anyone else hurt you.” @RoyalBeeMage
  6. Jenny jumped when she saw Roy, then jumped again when she noticed the stranger. How long had both of them been watching? Why did that keep happening to them? She and Ed needed to pick better spots to hide from prying eyes. She would’ve started blushing had it not been for her annoyance at seeing the stranger again. “Feel like telling us why you’re here now?” She didn’t bother with her dagger, instead mentally searching for the guy’s awakeness in case she ended up needing to snuff it out. @Weaver of Lights @Scars of Hathsin @The Aspiring Archivist
  7. I explain that the original mentioner of Mark Rober made a typo, as there is no other famous person who creates machines such as Sandwich-Grabbers. You give the sandwich back to me out of shame.
  8. You won for far too long!
  9. Here’s a cuckoo clock. I have a Persian rug.
  10. I explain that he’s a former NASA engineer who now builds cool stuff on YouTube, and you give me the sandwich out of appreciation.
  11. I make too many mistakes to use pens. TPBM has bought an “erase-able” pen that just smudged ink everywhere (totally not still bitter about this).
  12. Jenny laughed. ”I don’t know why he wasn’t scared when I let it down today. I’ll have to try it some more.” She thought briefly. ”I can’t let him get used to it, though. I’ll save it for when I really wanna mess with him.”
  13. Jenny nodded. That was about what she’d thought it was. She was glad Ed was willing to answer her question directly and honestly. ”I’ll have to practice more, then.” At least there was a new activity to fill her time while she was injured. She unraveled her braid and began to redo it. Having moved out of ear and eye shot of the rest of the group, Jenny didn’t immediately notice the stranger’s return. She was also rather focused on her braiding.
  14. Jenny finished the braid and used one of the many hairbands on her wrist to messily tie it off. ”How’s it look? Be honest.”
  15. “It is.” Jenny shifted so that she had both hands free, but was still against Ed. She pulled her hair over her shoulder and started trying to braid it. It wasn’t a particularly good braid, on account of her lack of experience.
  16. “Yep.” She looked into Ed’s eyes, then decided to change her answer. ”Definitely.”
  17. @RoyalBeeMage @Scars of Hathsin @Weaver of Lights @Part Of The Narrative Jenny grinned, then kissed him. 5 - 5, even again.
  18. Yes and no, respectively. TPBM has seen those funny videos of Germans failing to pronounce the word squirrel.
  19. Jenny sat up, managing to hide the grimace that movement would have elicited. She kept an arm wrapped around Ed. ”Thank you, again.”
  20. “I don’t think so. Listening helps, and you’ve done a good job of that.” By now, Jenny had managed to fully get ahold of herself again. The emotions had passed, for now. She breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing this.
  21. Jenny smiled back, although she didn’t think Ed was completely right. She was different in some not-bad ways, but not all of the differences were harmless. Brains aren’t supposed to make you lose it for no good reason. Ed liked her, though. That was nice, even if he didn’t really understand all of her wrongness.
