Maybe… maybe Jenny could make Terrance like her. She had to spend at least several more days with him. She dug through her pack and pulled out a now rather crumpled death flower. She didn’t know if Terrance liked flowers or not. Jenny put it back and zipped her bag back up. She didn’t have anything normal to offer to him as a peace offering. She unzipped the bag and grabbed the flower again. Jenny then held it out to Terrance, hand shaking slightly. ”Do you want a death flower?” @Weaver of Lights

Jenny nodded. Ed was right, they needed to keep an eye on Terrance. She had to actually look at him to do that, so she hesitantly lifted her head. She wasn’t able to read his expression and figure out exactly how mad at her he was. She unconsciously grabbed Ed’s hand. @The Aspiring Archivist
-
Jenny mumbled to Ed. ”Please don’t fight.” That would just make Terrance resent her. @Weaver of Lights
-
Jenny shrugged. ”If Terrance wants to.” She didn’t want to risk angering him by telling him to do something he didn’t want to do. @The Aspiring Archivist
-
He wanted to leave. That made sense. She didn’t respond. Terrance would probably get mad if she talked to him. She couldn’t see where he was looking, but he’d probably been addressing Ed. @Weaver of Lights
-
Terrance didn’t like talking, so that probably was why he wasn’t insulting her. Or did he just not like talking to her? That was probably it. It made the most sense. Jenny didn’t move, too embarrassed to risk doing anything in case it would just end up making her look worse.
-
Jenny just nodded, bracing herself for the inevitable onslaught of cruelty. Why wasn’t he making fun of her yet? Maybe he was and she just wasn’t realizing it yet. She couldn’t bring herself to look up. If she was going to be around Terrance, she didn’t want to associate his face with his mean remarks.
-
He thought she was stupid, too. Jenny was probably missing something obvious. She considered his hint for a moment. Whatever Terrance had done felt closest to dread out of those options. ”Deimos.” She still didn’t look up. He was probably about to start taunting her, now. That’s what people who hated her did when they kept on talking to her.
-
Jenny deflated, now rather sad. Maybe Terrance did hate her for being a daughter of Hades. She looked down. She’d just been on a lucky streak. Jenny was probably back to never making new friends again. She felt stupid for thinking that people would actually like her now. She was still the same weird, unsettling Jenny who nobody in their right mind would want to talk to.
-
Maybe she could get him to answer in a non-talking way. ”Blink once if your dad’s Phobos and twice if he’s Deimos.” Jenny leaned forwards slightly, excited for Terrance’s answer.
-
Maybe Terrance just didn’t like talking. She couldn’t read his expression, so she wasn’t sure how he felt about her being a Hades kid. She decided to assume the best and act as if he didn’t care. Jenny still was curious about his godly parent, though. ”You’re weirdly scary… that means either Phobos or Deimos, I think. Am I close?”
-
“Roy, there’s no point in tying him up. I’ll keep an eye on him if that would make you feel better.” She was planning on doing that anyways. ”Also, I don’t think you understand what ‘friendly conversation’ means. Do you point spears at your friends and tie them up when you go out to lunch?” Wait, did friends actually do that? Jenny was pretty sure they didn’t, but she didn’t have enough experience to know for sure.
-
“Friendly conversation, hopefully!” Jenny was being completely genuine. Even though this guy was really annoying, she hoped that maybe he’d loosen up and be a potential new friend. ”Who’s your godly parent? Mine’s Hades.” Might as well rip off the bandaid and bring up her dad early.
-
“…thanks.” Roy listening to her, even apologizing to her, was still strange. She was glad she wouldn’t need to resort to Hypnokinesis, though; it wasn’t the best of times to fall unconscious. Her shadows faded with a barely audible sigh. She then remembered that Roy had a crush on her and rapidly looked away.
-
“Roy!” Jenny winced as the yell seemed to painfully echo inside of her wound. ”Calm down, or I’ll make you.” This time, shadows began to surround her instead of frost. She was too tired for frost.
-
Jenny shot Roy a glare. She started to attempt to locate his awakeness, just in case he got too aggressive. What was up with him and wanting to stab people with his spear today?

Rude. Jenny withdrew her hand, frowning. This guy really didn’t seem to trust her. Was it cause he’d figured out that she was a Hades kid? ”You already know who Roy and Aaron are. This is Edgar.” She gestured to Ed, who was still next to her. @Weaver of Lights
-
Jenny uncrossed her arms and smiled. She noted that the silent treatment seemed to be effective when dealing with Terrance. ”Nice to meet you, Terrance.” She stuck out her hand for a handshake. By now, the frost had melted away and the temperature had returned to normal. Jenny just rolled her eyes.
-
So mute it was, then. @Weaver of Lights @Scars of Hathsin @RoyalBeeMage
-
Jenny just stared at him, silent.
-
Jenny sat back, crossing her arms. This guy was going to kill her. Not physically, just mentally from extreme annoyance. ”What’s your name?” She wasn’t speaking until this guy proved he could answer multiple different questions. Based on what she’d seen so far, she wondered if she would become permanently mute.
-
Jenny sheathed Sword. “‘I wanted to come on this quest’ counts as an answer. More specific than ‘I wanted to come’.” She awkwardly sat back down. Why had this guy been so difficult? Was he incapable of answering a question? ”I’m Jenny. What’s your name?” Hopefully he’d actually answer that.
-
“The part where, as Aaron mentioned, you followed us for three days. You don’t do that on a whim.” Either he was hiding something, or he was crazy. Neither option was great. Her grip tightened slightly on Sword as frost crawled up its blade. She didn’t raise it yet, but with the way this guy was acting, it was only a matter of time.
-
“Think harder, then.” He’s taking too long to answer. Just kill him, skip the wait. Don’t let him strike first. Jenny tried to ignore the voice, but it made sense. She always tried to assume the best when it came to the intents of others, however. Well, except for Roy.
