  1. Voices. Was Terrance speaking, or someone else? Jenny strained to hear what was going on, try to decipher the indistinct sounds. She thought at Gift as she did so, not wanting to talk over the voices. Can you turn into a megaphone? @Weaver of Lights
  2. “Terrance, I need your help here! If you want to think you’re a monster, fine! I can’t stop you. You can imagine yourself as having a forked tail and fangs all you want. But I don’t want to be a monster. Based on what little I know of what’s going on right now, there’s a solid chance this is all my fault. If I can’t bring you back, I’ll feel like a monster. I can maybe reconcile with killing one person, but I’m not gonna be able to get over a second.” Jenny stood there in the blurriness, a defiant, almost angry expression on her face.
  3. Jenny cursed again, even fouler this time. She called out to the blurry surroundings. ”Terrance, it’s Jenny. I need to please speak with you. I don’t want you to have to be alone.” She paused. ”Elsie doesn’t want you to have to be alone.” Terrance could probably not care less about what Jenny wanted, but maybe he’d listen if it was what Elsie wanted.
  4. Jenny decided to pick a direction and start walking. She wasn’t sure what else to do. Holding her free hand out, she summoned Gift in the form of a second dagger. It couldn’t hurt to have another weapon, and it was comforting to have someone she knew there with her. She continued to call out Terrance’s name. @Weaver of Lights
  5. Jenny heard Gift’s voice and sighed with relief. She wouldn’t be alone in whatever this place was if she couldn’t find Terrance. She’d find him, though. She had to. If this didn’t work out, if putting him to sleep had been a mistake, Jenny wasn’t sure that she could forgive herself. ”Thanks, Gift.” She tried to move in the direction of the sound. There was something in Terrance’s mind, at least. Regardless of what it was, it was better than nothing.
  6. Jenny cursed, something that she rarely did. This was very, very bad. ”TERRANCE?” She shouted his named loudly, in case he was just somewhere far away. As a precaution, she summoned Sword. Jenny didn’t know what all could be lurking in Terrance’s mind. His dreams probably tended to be nightmarish, based on his general attitude towards life.
  7. Jenny took a deep breath. “If either of us starts convulsing or having a nosebleed or something, please wake us up.” “I don’t think that’s safe. I appreciate it, though.” She gave Ed a quick kiss, then closed her eyes and mentally reached out. She found Terrance’s awakeness and snuffed it out. Jenny didn’t bother to try and put herself to sleep; she knew the effort in her current injured state would make her pass out. As expected, she fell unconscious as well. She immediately smashed through whatever her dream was, not taking the time to look at her surroundings. Jenny fell into whatever dream Terrance’s mind had decided to conjure up. Due to her rushed actions, the landing was less than graceful. @The Aspiring Archivist
  8. Terrance’s mind wasn’t physically there. He was somewhere else. Had he gotten trapped in the dream? No, he’d faded away. He was awake, anyways. They needed to find some way to talk to him. ”If I put both of us to sleep, I can maybe talk to him through a dream.” He was probably scared. She’d be scared if she was alone in a situation like this. She didn’t want him to be afraid. This desire to help overcame her worry of hurting him at the moment. They didn’t have many other options. @Weaver of Lights @Random Bystander
  9. “More like overheat. You don’t get blown into pieces. I think.” Jenny hadn’t seen anyone eat too much ambrosia before. Maybe it did make you explode. That would be cool! She wasn’t allowed near anything capable of starting fires at camp after a string of accidentally using said things to burn objects not intended to be burnt, so she didn’t get to see explosions very often. Imagining that possibility made her briefly forget the awful situation she was in.
  10. Jenny nodded and broke off a small piece. She tried to ignore how worryingly little of her emergency ambrosia was left. She put it in Terrance’s mouth, trying to tilt his head so that he had to swallow it. There wasn’t enough to choke on, thankfully. @The Aspiring Archivist “Only if you eat too much. It’s perfectly safe to be around, otherwise.”
  11. “No, magical food that heals you but also makes you combust if you eat too much.” What the heck was Elsie talking about? It did sound kinda good, though. Anything could make salad better- it wasn’t possible to make it much worse. Jenny pulled out the last bit of ambrosia she had and showed it to Elsie.
  12. A thought occurred to Jenny. She felt stupid for not remembering it earlier. Ambrosia had worked for Terrance when he’d acted weird like this before! ”Has Terrance had ambrosia today?” He’d gotten injured earlier, but she wasn’t sure if he had ended up needing any. He probably had, but she wanted to exhaust every possible option before restoring to hypnokinesis. @Weaver of Lights
  13. Terrance speaking again was somewhat reassuring, but it didn’t mean that he was ok. He wasn’t really reacting to what was going on. Elsie was probably right in her guess that he was hallucinating. ”Do you guys think it would be an awful idea if I put Terrance to sleep, then woke him up again?” Jenny didn’t have much experience with technology, but she knew that turning something off and on again could oftentimes fix whatever was wrong. Her worries wormed their way back, however. ”Never mind. I might just make things worse again.”
  14. This was probably Jenny’s fault. She hadn’t done enough to save him. Maybe she’d just made things worse. She could’ve interrupted something by forcing Terrance out of the void. She might’ve broken him, somehow. She’d hurt him. The inevitable had finally happened. No, she didn’t know that. He could be okay. She might not have messed up. But with each second Terrance was unresponsive, it was becoming clearer that wasn’t the case.
  15. At least that was something. It wasn’t nearly enough, though. ”Anyone else have any ideas?” @Weaver of Lights @Random Bystander @The Clarinetist @..... @RoyalBeeMage @Scars of Hathsin @anyone else I missed
  16. Jenny grabbed one of her bottles of water and gripped it tightly. She closed her eyes and focused for a moment. Slowly, a layer of frost built up along the outside. She then proceeded to dump the now icy cold water on Terrance’s head.
  17. “I mean, feel free to try again. Maybe I didn’t slap him hard enough the first time.” Jenny had wanted Terrance to still have an intact jaw, so she hadn’t hit him as hard as she could. Perhaps pinching him could work better, although if he was conscious she didn’t wish to hurt him too much.
  18. Terrance was awake. Jenny wasn’t sure if that was worse or not. She waved her hand in front of his eyes, trying to see if his pupils dilated or something. She’d heard of people doing that before.
  19. Jenny decided to resort to extreme measures. She reached out with Hypnokinesis, trying to view Terrances awakeness. Her magic could do more than just put someone to sleep.
  20. “I hope not. He faded away, and best case scenario for that was him waking up.” Jenny paused. If he was still stuck in the dream, they needed to wake him up as soon as possible. ”Yeah, I’m gonna slap him.” She proceeded to do just that. @The Aspiring Archivist
  21. “I had a weird dream. Elsie, did you remember it?” She looked at the girl, hoping that she didn’t. @Random Bystander Jenny thought for a moment. She didn’t really know what else to do. ”Do you guys think I should try slapping him?”
  22. Here’s some Copper for Idiots (TM). I have an alligator clip.
  23. Muffled
  24. Jenny very gently tried to shake his shoulder. She had now begun to panic slightly. Even Terrance wouldn’t ignore her this much. ”Please respond, Terrance.”
  25. “Are you ok?” Jenny repeated her earlier question. She was quickly becoming very worried. Was he just ignoring her? That wasn’t out of the question for him. Normally it wasn’t quite to this extent, though.
