    Star cocked her head. Fascinating. She was immensely curious as to what Tom would do next. He had better choose carefully. At this point, she would almost enjoy ripping apart Tom's soul just as much as completing this story. On the floor, Tamika was frozen. She trembled. Why should anyone give their life for her?

    Star put up a forcefield before Tom would be hurt. She wouldn't have anything interfere. Not again. Never again. Tamika opened her eyes. Tears formed and fell down her cheeks. "Tom what are you doing? Tom?" She raised a hand toward his face. "Please don't hurt me. Please."

    "Because he's a coward," Star said. She gripped Tom's mind. You know what you must do. But you are too weak to do it. You don't have to be my champion. I could pick someone else and let you rot.

    Not Tamika - Lift. Star grinned. They would not ruin her story. And if they tried, they would feel her wrath.

    Star's eyes darkened. "If you can't let her in, then let her go, storm you! I will not have my own character be thrown away. Especially not by you."

    Because I always duel on TLPW and I don't want to interfere with the story here. "She would have saved you, you fool!"

    Zeoy blushed. "Sorry," she muttered. She focused on finding the balance again. It took her a moment, but she did feel it. This time, the moment she felt the balance, she began to dig. What could she find in the depths of her own mind?

    Star vanished. She found Tamika and prompted her to return. He wants you, she whispered in the girl's ear. She turned around and scaled the steps once more. Tamika paused at the door. What should she even say? "Tom?" she asked, pushing the door open.

    "Oh, my dear," Star said, setting her hands on Tom's shoulders and rubbing them slightly. "We all have to do hard things. The hero has to be brave. Do you really want to keep hiding? Watching yourself whither away?"
