  1. SoT look a deep breath. "Thank you. For listening."
  2. SoT hung her head. "No. Don't. It is my duty... and my curse... to stay here. I've been so terrible recently. To TVG. I need to get over it. And keep on going." She chuckled, sniffing again. "That sounds like character development; trust me, it's not."
  3. SoT accepted the cake graciously. "Thanks," she said, blushing. She was a little overwhelmed, but it was better now.
  4. "That's the Ember paradox," SoT muttered. "You're written by your Author. Their leniency depends upon how much Sentience you have. But if you are written for a purpose, are you really chosing how to act?" She shook her head, sighing. "It doesn't matter." "All my older sisters are warriors," SoT explained. "Star is handy with a sword and a master duelist, Astral is an extremely creative fighter, Tamika is a master of physical combat, Thought is a Shard, and Ember is about as overpowered as you can get. But me? I'm not a hero or a villain. I'm the youngest. I'm not a good Narrator. But because of my family line, everyone expects things from me. Things that I... I'm not capable of. I get anxious around people. Around noise. And this place is so loud, so dissonant. I hate it here." SoT's tears started up again. "I hate it..." TVG looked down, realizing something she had chosen to ignore during the last 100 pages or so: She had broken her own rule of interference. And... maybe that had caused more problems than she had tried to fix. She closed her eyes. Maybe it was time to step back again.
  5. SoT sniffed, wiping her nose. "I'm the spawn of TVG. That doesn't help me..." That's what happened to Shadow!
  6. SoT turned toward the voice. Those were the first kind words she had heard in a very long while. She started to cry. "Thank you," she said. "Thank you so much." Aaaaaaand now I have tears in my eyes.
  7. TVG glanced at the stirring blue girl on the ground and was suddenly hit by a spear of ice in her chest. She couldn't do it. She couldn't just unwrite someone's personality. SoT had been broken, but she hadn't been so far gone yet that she would do that to herself. It was terrible. TVG's stomach twisted.... but she let SoT have her personality back. She'd soften the blow, making the recent events feel distant. Complete your arc, child, she thought. I'm sorry... But you are strong enough.
  8. Renarin is my baby.
  9. Edit: Ugh, wrong picture to comment on. Sorry.
  10. I do not exist on this plane. I know you don't respect me; but you cannot kill me And just because I didn't specify it does not mean that it was not healed. Lay another word on my daughter and you will regret it. The evil that was sparked within Star nearly 300 pages ago still resonates within me. And I can do anything I dare to write.
  11. Enough. TVG tapped SoT on the chest and she fell to the floor, unconscious. Well, more than unconscious, actually. She lost her color, bleeding to grey, no breath or heartbeat pulsing in her chest. It was the same state that Star had put herself into after going temporarily insane in Silence's prison. I should not have given her my anxiety, TVG said. That's on me; I should have known better than to give something so hard to balance to someone in such a precarious position. But you - all of you - should have known better than to push her like that. It disgusts me. Her deepest fear was turning out like her sister and that is exactly what you have created. She has a sweet spirit, but when you make her feel like she has to fight or fly, she becomes this. So Adonalsium, do what she asked and leave her alone. I will not loose another daughter to the plot. TVG rewrote some of SoT's character. She no longer had anxiety, she was no longer traumatized. She was still introverted and a little rebellious, but she was more confident in her abilities and more trusting of others. I hate having to do this, TVG said as she finished. It goes against everything I stand for. Characters should be able to be written as they want to act. But you've crossed a line with her. With another tap on the chest, SoT's color returned to her.
  12. Jaywalk: Proceeds to make it worse. "No..." SoT said, head in her hands. "No!"
  13. SoT felt her ears heal, but she continued to ugly cry, completely overwhelmed by everything. She backed away from Xinoehp. "Don't look at me!" she cried. "Go away! Everyone just stop, leave me alone!" I think we have a Star 2.0 situation on our hands. She hates all of you. And all her emotion is making me tear up vicariously, I have a weird thing with that.
  14. Pain shot through SoT's head and she screamed in surprise. But... no sound came out. She drew a hand to her mouth, the pain of her ears and the shock of the sudden loss of a sense scaring her half to death. Oh, no, she mouthed. Oh, no. She began to sob, though she couldn't hear herself doing it, and wrapped her arms around her waist. This isn't what I wanted, she said. That's not what I asked for! You guys just traumatized her. Thanks for that.
  15. Umm... A Windrunner who could use F-Iron would be pretty cool, I guess. Well, I mean... steel. Super speed is flippin' sweet. Yay, Cars! I want to be a middle school english teacher and/or fantasy author. Oooof. I don't know. Is Worldhopper an option? ... Perhaps.
  16. SoT stood. "See, THIS is what I'm talking about! I can't STAND it, I just want to..." She clenched her fists, then breathed out, hanging her head. "I want it to be quiet for once... Silent, even."
  17. "I don't see why," Star said, suddenly feeling apprehensive.
  18. But then it shrivled to Silence and died. SoT had made some... changes to her little Realm.
  19. “Why me?” SoT muttered. “When Star existed here, she was tormented by the other Narrators too. And it eventually led to Marsh’s death. I’ve tried to be like the others, but TVG wants me to be… I don’t know. I don’t want to end up like Star. For as bad as it is to be trapped here, it would be much worse to be on CBST. All the terrible things that happen there…” She shivered. “And I know that Star got True Love’s Kiss recently, but before that she was in agony. I’ve… I’ve considered giving up my Sentience recently, Xinoehp.” She paused and a few blue tears rolled down her cheeks. “Then, I wouldn’t know emotion or pain or plot. And it would be okay. Because I wouldn’t know better.”
  20. "Yes, indeed!" Star said. "I don't know how, but we're lucky he got there in time!"
  21. No it's not! I love school!
  22. Jackets are fashionable, Truthless!
