  1. Here's for today's prompt, "Snow"! A while back, I imagined how cool it would be for Ember to fight in the rain - it would be all misty and epic. Then I thought about how much she would enjoy snow if it didn't melt on her. Armor is always the answer to that. She doesn't really like wearing it, but she utilizes it well. Anyway, the joy on her face is precious, especially considering what's been happening on CBST recently...
  2. Astral rolled her eyes, but it looked weird because her eyeballs were completely silver.
  3. Astral nibbled on the edge of it, looking at Luna coldly. Sophie brightened, removing her hand. "It worked? Holy mother of Butt Venture, it worked!"
  4. I have no idea. But Xino probably knows and he'll post eventually!
  5. "O-okay." Sophie swallowed. "Where does it hurt? I guess... the withergeist came through your chest so..." She placed her blue hand on Jay's chest, feeling self-conscious. Okay. You've got this. Sophie closed her eyes and focused, pushing her mental power into him. Astral took it. "This better be dark chocolate," she said, unwrapping it. It was milk. She scowled, giving it to a withergeist which had perched on her shoulder.
  6. YKYASFW this quote on the board in your Geometry classroom motivates you more than anything else during a test.
  7. "I... I want to help you," Sophie said. "I'm not sure if I can, but... I'd like to try."
  8. Ember sat on the floor, feeling strangely… dead. A few hours had passed since she had cried, but she still stared into the mirror, lost in thought. Or, well, she had been lost in thought. Her mind had shut off a while back. She didn’t remember when. She was also breathing. Usually, she didn’t. She didn’t need to, after all. But it… calmed her somehow. Watching her chest move up and down felt odd. It made her feel detached from her own too-skinny body. For a while, she had simply run her fingers over her rough outer layer. Why did she look so odd? Her rocky skin didn’t even cover everything - it was split in several places on her form, revealing a second, hotter layer beneath. How had she not previously seen her own… Destroyer-y-ness? She was a creature. She knew that. It just hurt that she wasn’t… likable. She supposed it didn’t matter in the end. She was Star’s protector and servant and that was all that mattered. So… Now what? Should she really care that Heather didn’t want her around? Should she care about anything, but the Directive? Well… no. She supposed not. @BringerofShadows @xinoehp512
  9. She took it and it crumbed to ash in her fingers. "Oopsies," she muttered. Sophie looked on in empathy.
  10. Sophie brightened. "Hi, Jay," she said, still feeling a little grim. "We escaped. Michael saved us, but I don't know where he is. So... We're just here. Are you okay? I can help you if you're not okay." The ice cream spoiled even as she looked at it. "I am Astral. Star is on CBST and I need to get to her. Her soul has been corrupted. Until she is saved, I cannot rest.
  11. Astral breathed out shakily, though whether that was out of anger or emotional instability at the memory, no one could tell.
  12. "What feelings?" she hissed. "My soul is rotted and dead because of what happened here. On page 429."
  13. She waved a hand at it and it rotted in Luna's hand. Astral rolled her eyes and her head melted to sludge as it passed through her. Then it reformed. "You can't hurt me," she said.
  14. All right, everyone, sorry this one took me so long to post - I was busy today. Today's prompt is "Pattern" and I decided to do Ember with a little twist. She has been a wonderful character to have and I hope that she can get the happy ending that she deserves.
  15. Sophie had tears running down her face. And she started sobbing with joy when she saw the grass. Her happiness was short lived, however, when she realized that Michael was nowhere in sight. "Michael?" she asked. "Michael?" He was just... gone. Was he dead? Had he sacrificed his own life for her? She knelt in the grass, feeling a sense of reverence.
  16. Now thoroughly terrified and embarrassed, Sophie let down the forcefield and sprinted as fast as she could.
  17. Sophie took the spear and clutched it in her hands. "But.. I was going to... Jay..." She had really thought she had had an awakening there.
  18. Okay. Just... hold on a moment. Sophie focused. She popped out of the forcefield, teleporting to Jay. It only lasted a split second. She was gone before the withergeists knew she was there. And when she popped back into the bubble with Michael, Jay's trembling body lay before her. "I may not be a hero," Sophie said. "But I think... I think I might be a healer."
  19. I can't take this anymore, SoT thought to herself.
  20. When I leave? Astral eyed him, still bored. But Sophie... I want to help, she thought, to no one in particular. But I'm too scared. Bravery doesn't mean not being scared. It means doing it anyway. You think Star hasn't been terrified before? Tamika? Ember? Astral, even? It's okay that you're scared. What makes you a coward is not acting anyway. Sophie blinked, her posture changing. She clenched her fists. And bracers grew on her wrists.
  21. All of a sudden Sophie realized something. More than Ruin, more than the approaching end of the world, this something scared her. "Where's XINOEHP!" she said.
  22. Astral was dreadfully bored. She sat on a rock on the ground, chin resting on her fist. She had forgotten how tedious life was when there wasn't anyone to torment.
  23. I am bored. And not done with Inktober yet today...
  24. Queen of Shadows. She was born here, but only stayed for like a page before she went to that thread. But QoS only lasted ten pages. She was turned into a character and has been rotting away in Silence's dungeons ever since.
