  1. He’s there, but he only gets one or two viewpoint chapters. It’s mainly Perrin’s book.
  2. I may be in the minority here, but I really enjoyed TGH. Significantly more than TEotW.
  3. Jaywalk extended his arm, the wounds on his hand flaring with blinding light. The rubble of his castle rose off the ground, forming an arch in front of them. He made a fist, seizing the interdimensional threads, and the portal opened.
  4. I know this is a double post, but I just saw this. It gave me a good chuckle.
  5. Okay! I’m here now! ”Are you ready?” he asked Sophie.
  6. We’re still 200 pages or so ahead of TLPW.
  7. I wonder if there’s a max amount of pages that a topic can comprise...
  8. Jaywalk put a hand on her shoulder. “You won’t have anything to worry about.”
  9. “Don’t worry,” he said. “We’ll find someway to get back to them and help.”
  10. “Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’m fine.” He rubbed his shoulder, trying to stave away the ache. “How are you?”
  11. The hug caught him off guard. He slowly put his arms around her, feeling...something new. It was unfamiliar to him. It was something he’d taken many times before.
  12. Jaywalk closed his eyes, mind reaching into the void. All thought left his head, sucked away by the void, but he somehow knew what he was doing, will given to him by the remaining emotion. He connected to thousands of minds at once—Bozo’s, Astral’s, Butt’s, each and every ghanderflaffle. Then he pulled. A portal opened in front of him and Sophie, showing the image of his castle. Or rather, what was left of his castle. ”With me!” he called, and they jumped through.
  13. “Stand behind me. I’m gonna try something new.”
  14. “Star...I was much harder on her than I should have been. I apologize for that.” “But how do we...” He looked down at his arms, scratched and torn, glowing. The void was a hub of sorts, connecting each universe through unseen ties. If he harnessed his new power, could he manipulate the ties to get them out of the meadow? ”Sophie,” Jaywalk said. “I have an idea.”
  15. Jaywalk looked up at Sophie. “I’m not sure I can be hurt anymore.” His wounds flashed, glowing lavender. “Besides,” he said. “I’m more powerful now. Maybe thanks to you.”
  16. “I...I need to get to Jasnah. To bring her the news.” Jaywalk looked around. “How do we get out of here?”
  17. “It’s okay. I’m the failure here.”
  18. A small throbbing remained at in his core, but the relief outweighed the pain. “Thank you,” he breathed. “Thank you.”
  19. Jaywalk felt the pain seeping away. He sighed in relief. The void, however, remained part of him.
  20. Jaywalk made a fist, then relaxed. Clenched his teeth, then relaxed. Took a step, then retracted it. Every movement was painful. Was there a point in going on like this? With all this pain, both physical and emotional, could he go on living?
  21. “I...I’m fine.” He stood, groaning at the pain. Glowing energy seeped from the wounds on his face. It seemed the void had entered in, not healing them, but replacing them.
  22. Jaywalk lifted his head out of the grass, blinking. “Where am I...”
  23. Bozo bowed his head, for once unable to joke.
  24. Jaywalk seized on the floor, eye twitching, muscles tense.
