Gf and no chocolate? Challenge accepted. Peanut Butter No-bakes Oats are gluten free but they might be contaminated with gluten because of the facility they are packaged in so make sure to get gluten-free oats. These suckers are delicious. I would suggest only using sugar-free peanut butter unless you have a truly strong sweettooth. I actually like these better than normal no-bakes.

I think Odium used the Dawnshard Destroy to go after Dominion & Devotion. When he went after Ambition, Ambition went for the Dawnshardnmortally wounding itself instead of looking to preserve itself, but getting the Dawnshard away from Odium (sending it to Edgli who helped put the Dawnshard into Nightblood). The Dawnshard Unity was used by Ishar to bind Odium to Roshar, make the Oathpact, & build the Knights Radiant. This Dawnshard was taken and is now in the hands of Dalinar! Change is the other Dawnshard being hidden from Odium because it's just as powerful as Destroy if you think about it.

My personal take is that the Dawnshards are Unity, Remain, Change, & Destroy. Nightblood is the vessel for the Dawnshard Destroy. Makes freaking perfect sense.

@trav, I think you're on to something. Unity→Honor (X), Dominion (X), Devotion (X), & ? Change→Endowment, Cultivation, Ruin, & ? Destroy?→Ambition (X), Autonomy, Odium, & ? Remain→Preservation, (Wisdom, the one that wants to hide and survive), ? & ? More on this here That's my guess after all this theorizing.

Here's my theory from another thread (Link): Dalinar was freaking given the Dawnshard Unity from Cultivation. That explains Odium running away with his tail between his legs because Dalinar has the Intent (Bondsmith) AND the Command (Unity). That makes him ridiculously more powerful than he realizes. Odium sees Intent (Honor) with the Command (Unity) and that's freaking terrifying. Note: I think this Dawnshard is what Ishar used as the OG Bondsmith to create the Knights Radiant and the Oathpact. It was taken away from him some time after that. Next, CHANGE. Kinda obvious now that we've read Dawnshard. Keep in mind, the reason the Sleepless commanded Rysnnot to bond with a spren is because if she gets access to the Power (Intent) AND the authority that she already holds, she becomes exponentially more powerful. Last, DESTROY. So this one's going on a limb but here's my guess. Nightblood is the vessel for the Command / Dawnshard Destroy. This makes a whole lot of sense. What better way to hide the Command / Dawnshard from someone with Intent or prevent misuse of it than a vessel that would literally kill the holder if it was evil. Endowment helped significantly in this, I'm sure. If I'm right, that makes 3 (!) Dawnshards on Roshar. All 3 of which hiding. TIN HAT TIME Odium went after Ambition for obvious reasons. His next plan of attack though? Devotion & Dominion and then Honor. Why? Because they would be the other Shards that could access the Dawnshard of Unity. THAT'S why he went after who he did. Odium came to Roshar ultimately seeking the Dawnshard Unity, not just Honor or Culitvation. Better yet, Odium, wanted to become Conquest. That’s his shtick. He wanted to find the Dawnshard, absorb Honor, and freaking wreck people across the Cosmere. Soaking the Shards all up one by one. So what happens in Book 5? Dalinar learns he is a Dawnshard somehow from Rysn. Dalinar realizes what Unity truly is. Not the Shard, the Command. He then uses that Command to Unite Honour back again, absorb it, and absorb Odium becoming Conquest. Guess where he goes during the break between 5 book arcs? The shards of Dominion & Devotion. Can you say power up? But wait, there's more! If Dalinar only had the four intents from Unity, he would truly become Unity. But problem! He's got Odium. And that means... Dalinar is the freaking antagonist of the last five and holy crap is he Uber powerful compared to simple little Odium. (Navani will be our Bondsmith for the SA pending awakening Sibling??) Either that or Conquest takes Radiants for Intergalactic Warfare, staying true to his name & just uniting like crazy. Unity could then combine the Sleepless making one super scary Sleepless or worse yet...destroy the whole of Roshar / orders of the Knights Radiant as Conquest and build a new Oathpact...one not bound to just Roshar but the whole of Cosmere. Alright....tin hat theory time everybody. Apologies in advance but...this is just so exciting. So, background: Dalinar's flashbacks were first meant for Book 5, not Book 3. We were supposed to know what Dawnshards are right now before Book 4 but have been shown 2 (kind of) to this point: Hoid (who used to be a Dawnshard) and Dalinar (currently is one without knowing fully yet). Just like one can be a vessel for the Shard, or Intent, one can be a vessel for the Dawnshard (as has been shown twice now). RoW spoiler below from Part 1... Are you ready for a ride in my crazy mind? Here we do down the rabbit hole... There are 4 Commands (Authority) aka Dawnshards: Unity, Change, and 2 others (I'm not certain on these yet. Possibly Destroy (and Nightblood is the vessel/Dawnshard? More on this below). These 4 Commands/Dawnshards can be accessed by 4 Intents (Power/Shards) each (knowledge via the mural). Unity→Honor (X), Dominion (X), Devotion (X), & ? Change→Endowment, Cultivation, Ruin, & ? So from the source...no, it isn't anything. But my hope is the following: The end scene of the books is a collection of all Unmade captured, all stormlight gems have been infused, the Heralds (a new Oathpact has been made where interplanetary Cosmere-wide protection has begun to either take on Conquest or with Unity, make Adonalsium again) and the power source of these intergalactic adventures is the heart of Urithiru which has become a form of Dyson sphere. If you don't know what a Dyson sphere is, it's basically a MASSIVE engineered series of super-powerful solar panels that surround a star, effectively using all energy released from the star (one of the largest energy sources readily available). A stormlight version of that would just be SO cool. But it most likely won't be a thing. A man can dream.

Why not spin the theory the other way? The Cosmere is actually about one mans journey to becoming God. Hoid seeks to replace Adonalsium and be there when all Shards break apart. He is in the looooong game of absorbing all of the Shards eventually.

Shallan is on the 4th Ideal now right? We saw in OB that she was Radiant with plate on. My guess is that her haunting thoughts are linked to her saying the first Ideal of the Knights Radiant. She may have even not been that serious stating the words and then her mom found out and the entire house of Davar is falling because she wanted to become a Knight Radiant. I'm also akin to the possibility of having her broken the oaths to Pattern early on in the process. Maybe even someone else other than Pattern?

Combo of theories above: Sja-Anat witnesses Adolin revive Maya (possibly with help from Dalinar, I personally hope Adolin stays non-radiant, conflict because he's a duelist without a blade now). She mimics this to revive the Sibling. Navani then bonds with the Sibling. Boom.

@HoidsRock I think you got everyone! Well done! Now that the RoW cover is dropped ( US RoW Cover), here's my best guess as to what's going to happen with Adolin: Adolin revives Maya. Has the conflict that he isn't sure what he is without a shardblade. Maya becomes his friend but Adolin doesn't fit the Order of Edgedancers so she has to leave him. He then gets an upgrade with a sword from Nalthis (Warbreaker world). I think this will be the case because his sword casts a rainbow on the cover! Thank you @GudThymes for the clarification. I'll make the edit above.

@FriarFritz: I just noticed this: Does that mean I use 1 1/3 cup of shortening, margarine, or oil AND 1 1/3 of margarine, butter, or oil? So 2 2/3 cups fat be it an equal combo or margarine, butter, oil, or shortening? This looks like a calorie overload hahaha It's kind of a confusing recipe...I got lost a few times. Help?

I too started with the movies and I'm actually grateful. I've only recently read the books and my honest review at the moment is that both are spectacular in their own way. I honestly don't think the movies made a single mistake. Not. One. And that's saying something for Hollywood. Both are enjoyable but if I had to pick, I'd choose the movies all day.

I don't know many Booktubers but Daniel Green has hooked me. He's got great content. Makes me laugh often. And I agree with his reviews almost completely. Everything he puts in his "S" tier I read and I really enjoy his Fantasy News series.

So I'm a huge foodie and my "hero's quest" is this... Build a spreadsheet full of only 10/10 recipes. You know the stuff. You take a bite and your eyes roll to the back of your head and you can't help but just stop and savour it. To get things started, my favorite cookie recipe of all time: WORST Chocolate chip cookies These bad boys own my soul, no joke. I cannot stop making them. They are that good. What are your all-time favorite recipes? Possibly something from the Cosmere? I'm also open for suggestions on places to eat out and items to try if they really are that good. Note: The rating system that helps me is the following since numbering/starring them is so arbitrary: Hate, don't like, like, really like, love, crave. I seek the craves out there. Bring it on!

Peace Talks is out! Any thoughts? My take was this...meh. It definitely felt like half of a book but it just didn't even come close to warranting a 6-year wait. I'll have to wait for Battle Ground to give it a final review.

I wanted to do this as a quick exercise to see where each of the main characters are currently in their arcs as of the end of Oathbringer (and the few chapters of RoW that have been released) and use it as a reference as we start reading RoW. Feel free to comment. This Tor article made me want to do this post as well as this speculative video. I highly suggest going to both. The areas are current ideal within their respective order, 3 most relevant & recent activities to be aware of, and possible big moments in RoW. Kaladin→3rd ideal / Windrunner 1. Failed to save Kholinar. 2. Failed to swear Fourth ideal in Shadesmar. 3. Seems like he's coming to grips with being a lighteyes. Guesses for what will happen to him: Get a girlfriend, swears the fourth & it'll be epic, seriously addresses his mental issues Shallan→4th ideal / Lightweaver (we saw her in Plate under Radiant during the battle of Thaylen city. She has spoken the first ideal off-screen and her 3 lies thus far have gotten her to the 4th ideal if I'm not mistaken) 1. Took on Re-Shephir and won 2. Embraced Radiant, Veil, & Shallan as parts of herself, not Shallan playing 2 different parts. 3. Has infiltrated the Ghostbloods and is gaining trust (luck has seriously played a role here) Guesses: Adolin and her have a shaky relationship because Adolin has 1/3 of a wife and Veil & Radiant are starting to dominate. Activates Beast Mode with Nightblood 3. Delivered Honor's Drop to Dalinar via Lift. He defended Dalinar with Kaladin while Dalinar faced off with Nergaoul. Guesses: Unleashed to go after the Dawnshards. Book 5 will be him going after the Shin and taking each and every Honor Blade I think. (Is Jezrien's honorblade gone now that he is dead? Answer: No, Vyre has it now (This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules Moash)) Lift→3rd / Edgedancers 1. Partially in the cognitive realm. Can use food to get stormlight as part of her boon. Her bane with Cultivation is still unclear. What she asked of Cultivation was something along the lines of "When everything else changes, I want to stay me." 2. Can enter Dalinar's visions at will & Odium is scared of her? 3. Got Honor's Drop for Dalinar. Guesses: She'll have grown. Maybe finally using her powers for the people of Urithiru? Venli→1st / Willshaper 1. Parsh(wo)man that bonded to Timbre! 2. Was initially for attacking humans but is now against Odium. 3. Dalinar felt her missing during the Battle of Thaylen Field. Dalinar has also brought her into his visions. Guesses: She becomes a spy (though unreliably) for Dalinar. We learn a whole lot more about the Parshman! Renarin→??? / Truthwatcher 1. Has bonded with Glys who is tainted (read "Enlightened") by Sja-anat 2. He's a blind-spot in Odium's future. 3. He started to be comfortable when in charge with Adolin. Guesses: Start being more confident and take on a more scholarly role now since it's been a year. OTHER CHARACTERS Adolin→ N/A / N/A 1. Married Shallan 2. Summoned Maya (his shardblade) in 7 heartbeats, not ten. 3. Is known to have killed Sadeas Guesses: Revive Maya. Say goodbye to her because she isn't a shardblade anymore but they depart as friends because Adolin doesn't fit the Order of Edgedancer nor does Maya want to make a bond again after literally dying. He has to figure out what to do next because he doesn't have a shardblade anymore and that's literally his whole life. I honestly want him to stay an un-Radiant. The conflict of him losing Maya will be especially interesting. He then gets an upgrade by receiving an awakened sword from Nalthis (Warbreaker). I say this because the RoW cover shows him having a sword with a rainbow below it. Maybe even train more seriously with Vasher? Lirin→0 / Stoneward (click the link, it'll convince you) 1. Is still sad about Kaladin's trajectory 2. Has had 3 sons. Welcome to the world little Oroden! Guesses: Becomes our Stoneward! Navani→ 0 / Bondsmith 1. Becoming a super-artifabrian 2. Question for y'all. I find digging into the 17th shard pretty intimidating at times trying to pour over it all with quite literally hundreds of thousands of posts. Is there a highlights board? Or maybe a "Best of....board"? Or a dumping point for any comment with >30 ♥'s or something? I think it'd be cool to see some of the best moments/answers/jokes the 17th shard has brought to the community, I just have no idea where to start.
