  1. John made his way through the brush, the others behind him. It would take them a while to reach the lake, and he knew that humans needed water - and he couldn't remember the last time he had given them some. He turned, walked for a few paces, and stopped when he came across a well. So someone had taken advantage of the spring here in the past hundred years. He did a 180 and turned to them. "If any of you need water, now would be the time to drink. The next clean water source will probably be the lake."
  2. "Lots of things," John answered vaguely. He wasn't sure if he should show them the full extent of his powers yet. Perhaps the display back in the ship would of been enough. "I can... burn stuff?" He winced inwardly on how stupid that sounded. He raised his hand, then hesitated. "There's a possibility that if I show you now, the Teirath will see the smoke. I can't risk that. We need to get moving."
  3. John stepped out of the pod. "Ruth. Sorry about that. I did all I could to stop us from vaporizing on impact." He turned to Cheh. "You saw Teirath? That could mean they saw you. The lake you mentioned has a person waiting for us. A person who will help us." He tossed out food packets to everyone. "These are only good for each of us to have one meal. Hopefully there will be food at the lake." John hesitated. "It'll take us a few hours to get there. I've been here before, and I know what's edible." He grimaced. "I think. Humans are very different from the Gathen." ------------------ Corielatha screamed in her mind. She tried to reach out, tried to make the pod land without so much as a jolt, but she couldn't. You can't do much when you can only see the world in your dreams. When you've been asleep for millenia, watching the Gathen dwindle in strength, the Tierath grow. Watching, and waiting. Waiting for a song of fire.
  4. *eats waffle* "Another one, please?" *sets way to much money on counter* "The rest is a tip for the cook, the server, and the person who figured out what the 10th pancake is."
  5. Corielatha gazed down onto the planet. So insignificant. Yet replicas of it were in every dimension. She kept an eye on the one Magic, who was sending some of his people to... find another person? She gazed at their destination, and realized it was another replica of Earth. The replica that the Singer of Flames was destined to. How dare they interfere with her plans! And yet... The day one of her Gathen couldn't handle someone the likes of these was the day the universe would collapse. Not just one, but two.
  6. John Flamesinger walked into a random restaurant and sat down. He then looked at the menu. "Hello, it says here that you have all ten Yeddawan pancakes. May I have the 10th one, please?"
  7. John sat up, somehow completely sane for a moment. He turned his attention to Tion, who was in some military camp. He was laying on a bed, completely unresponsive. Oh Sensation, what has she done to him?
  8. John pushed himself inside the pod, running to the sensory room. He connected to a nearby relay, and then tried finding the Serocather. STAUS: UNKOWN. CONTACT WAS LOST 5 SOLAR MINUTES AGO. John stared at the screen, then hit the reload. The same runes came up. Again, he hit the reload, but there was no change. He slid to the floor, shaking. They're right. I shouldn't be leader. I can't even make a good decision. I have kidnapped random people, forced them onto an escape pod, prevented them from leaving, and now this? Old was wrong to choose me. The only thing I ever succeeded at was fighting. @Anyone that wants to respond
  9. John sat on the ground, not caring if anyone payed attention. The times he was conscience, he knew that he was deteriorating much faster then the rest. Why? "Truth," he managed to croak out.
  10. John floated. He was devoid of being, only present as flickering flames in the outline of a person. He floated out the air lock, and was at peace. Almost at peace. Pain shot through his body, and John gasped, trying to draw in air that wasn't there. It wasn't needed, of course. Gathen didn't need to breath. It was something else that made him feel pain. Where is she?
  11. Alyssa was shocked. From what she could tell, those words meant that she was defecting. It could paint a target on her back, and an even bigger one on the parlor. Alyssa had been seen around there. And so had John.
  12. "Sure. Do it in the afore mentioned testing room." "Forcefields are beautiful things..." John waved his hand and a rock appeared. "There you go, Cheh. Now, I am going to test myself." He walked through a door.
  13. John raised his eyebrows. "Too dangerous? There's a weapons testing room 3 doors to the right after that door." He pointed. "This spacecraft can go through a black hole and survive. It can survive pretty much anything you throw at it."
  14. The craft lurched, and they dropped back in the universe. "I didn't want to bring us to close to our destination, so that we didn't crash into the planet. We'll have to wait for about an hour." He turned back towards everyone. "Hello Three, how are you." He looked back at everyone else. "Would anyone like some coffee?"
  15. "Yes, I can use my bond with Light Magic to use all 5 elements. No, none of us are the Avatar. We're from all different magic systems." John turned around, and then turned back. "I almost forgot, if anyone would like some weapons, we have them all, from spears and swords to submachine guns and laser weaponry. It's just there in the back." He turned and a screen appeared out of thin air in front of him. He entered in their destination coordinates, and a button appeared on the screen. "Hang on to something." He hit the button, and they jumped out of the universe.
  16. "You got hit. I grabbed you and we left." "No. Figured it would be polite. It is something of a... jar when we leave." "Alright, anything else?"
  17. John's eyes widened. "Ryan...?" Impossible. The Carenmeetyr must of also been attacked. "We are in... space. We'll have to wait a bit to get onto solid ground. Now," and at this he turned to everyone else. "Does anyone else have any questions? If not, I would like to activate the FTL sequence.
  18. John snapped his fingers, and the pod expanded several times, with doors forming outside. "Dimensional shifting. It allows the inside to be bigger than the outside.*" *Not a Doctor Who reference The pod shuttered, and a cool voice began speaking in a strange language. John looked up. "Another Escape Pod?" He frowned. He turned around, and opened the door. Inside was a young man about 20 years old. He had black hair, and strange colored eyes - John would almost say purple, but it was more like Wine. "Who are you?"
  19. John nodded, smile slipping. He turned. "Why did the other gods leave? What was decided about the Augury?
