"It's alright," Alyssa said, glaring at John. "He just overreacted." She glared at him some more. He turned towards Brillin. "I'm sorry." A note of true sorrow echoed through his words. "Oh, and I'm Alyssa," she said, extending her hand. "You must be Brillin?" @I think I am here.
-
Alyssa's eyes widened as Brillin punched her in the jaw. John started yelling for Aben, and somehow managed to tackle Brillin to the ground. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR" he roared. Alyssa sat up, blood trickling from her mouth. "John, get off him." He did so, and Brillin looked around. Alyssa glared at John. "What the hell was that for indeed," she snorted. "I've had worse, and you know it. Like that time between Scadrial and Nathials - ". "When the one guy ran around screaming like a chicken with a sword the size of a skyscraper," John finished, calming down.
-
John looked up sharply as thumps sounded from above. He left Alyssa standing there, singing and unaware of her surroundings. He raced upstairs, and through the 3rd door. Brillin was on the floor, shaking. John froze, and ran downstairs, running into Alyssa. She turned. "Where did you go," she asked, curious. John turned around and ran back upstairs, motioning with his hand for her to follow. She helped sit Brillin up, noticing the tears around his eyes. "Are you ok?" @I think I am here.
-
John walked out and frowned when he saw Aben stacking the glasses. Alyssa, however, only smiled, and started singing under her breath, weaving a tune to her liking as she strove to remember the moment in her coppermind.
-
Alyssa slowly stepped away. It was not the time to be talking with - Nern? Nerin? Whatever John had called her. She glanced over to him. "So what's this mobile thing you're talking about? John pulled it out. "It's a communication device I bought from this guy in Silverlight. The 4th market." Alyssa nodded. "How can we use it here to help us?" John shook his head. "I don't think you can. It needs another one like this."

Stormlight 4 Update #4, Plus News Roundup
John Flamesinger commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
Can't wait for Stormlight 4! But what I want first is the 4th 2nd Era Mistborn Book. -
"Who's she?" Aben asked, pointing towards Alyssa. John leaned over and said, "She's an old friend of mine," completely ignoring that it was obvious that they were more then just 'friends' because of their intertwined hands.
-
Alyssa stepped out of the room, hand intertwined with John's. "Here's a boxing for your troubles," she said, handing it to Nerin. "You're going to need it. How may I help? From the way that John talked about it, you need some. I'm Alyssa," she said as she extended her hand. @ZincAboutIt

I don't know. We do know it is sentient, since when Azure gets her back from the Honorspren crew in OB, Azure says it's "investigating" the spren crewmember.

Was Shallan always on the 4/5th ideal?
John Flamesinger replied to Renen's topic in Stormlight Archive
She was at least the 3rd ideal, since that was when Radiants get Shardblades. I suspect what you asked happened, but I don't think she ever got past the 3rd. For example, where is her armor? I think that was something Jahsna asked. Storms. I misspelled Jahsna, didn't I? I'm a horrible fan. -
Secret History Question (spoiler for Oathbringer)
John Flamesinger replied to John Wayne's question in Cosmere Q&A
I personally think that there is 2 metal eyes floating in the physical realm whenever Hoid is in the C realm. Ok, maybe not, but that could be a possibility, if he could make those eyes invisible. -
Two questions from a Stormlight newbie
John Flamesinger replied to The Kraken's Daughter's question in Cosmere Q&A
RAFO! Wait. Ninja'd. Well, I support everything on this page. I suggest not asking questions until you have finished the series so far, so that we're all on the same track. -
"Thank you." She nodded at the person who had let her in. Allyssa walked over to John and slapped him. John was awake immediately. "Ow!" He looked up, and froze. "Allyssa?" "The one and the same." She glared down at him. "Now," She said, pulling him upright and dragging him to the next room, "You are going to tell me exactly what happened since you left Silverlight. No lying." She closed the door behind him.
-
Allyssa smiled. It was the one women that worked at the parlor. "You wouldn't know my name. May I speak with John?" @ZincAboutIt
-
Allyssa climbed from the cave, slipping around the visiters as they ignored her. She made her way into the fading sunlight, and made her way to the parlor she had seen John at. *** As she stepped up to the door, she realized that she was trembling. She brought her hand up to the door and knocked 3 times. @Whoever wants to open the door, probably @Sorana or @ZincAboutIt If Nerin is feeling up to it.
-
John woke up. He was groggy for a moment, then the hangover hit him. He pulled his coat over his eyes and went to sleep.
-
John remembered finishing the glass. Kind of. He stumbled into the corner, and fell asleep.
-
"The south?' John looked at her blankly. "Oh, no. I'm from off this planet, so... not North, South, East, or West." He smiled. "I've been so many places. So has my family." He stopped himself from rambling on. He barley knew her. John looked at his drink. Already half gone. This was going to be a bad night. @Sorana
-
John accepted the drink from Attayl. "Thank you," he said. He began slowly sipping it.
-
"Hmm?" John looked up at Attayl. "Oh, it's called a mobile. It can do different things, like contacting other people." Attayl nodded and groaned, walking over to Nerin and Brillin. As he watched them, another pang of discomfort rang through him as he saw them interacting in a familiar way, even though some of them were drunk. He felt like someone was watching him. He looked behind him, but there was nothing. What the hell was going on with me? I should go back go Silverlight. It would be for the best. But he had already influenced the locals. He couldn't leave.
-
John made his way into the corner, murmuring his embarrassed thanks to Attayl as she rearranged the room. He glanced out the window and saw the ghost thing again. He stopped, and slowly made his way out back. "What or who are you," John whispered toward the wraith as it stood in front of him. The last thing he remembered was that ghostly hand reaching out to him. When he got up, the sun was setting, and John walked back inside and sat down, his confused mind turning over what happened. He wouldn't tell the others, he decided. A couple of them already thought he was delusional, and Nerin had enough on her plate.
-
A bolt of breath raced through his body as John tapped a full 8th of his metal mind. Sitting up, he blinked, before remembering why he had passed out. He groaned, and slowly got up. What the hell was that?
-
John raised his head as he saw Nerin and Lance talking together. He looked around, and saw that there was a community here, one he wasn't part of. He should leave. He stood up, and turned towards the door, and froze in his tracks. There was the person, the 3rd person he had saw back in the payment station. His breathing rate accelerated, and it wasn't because he was storing breath. He fell, face first onto the recently cleaned floor, out cold. The wraith looked at the collapsed clump that was John, and turned and walked away.
-
John nodded. "Sorry, sir." He smiled as he thought of the last time he dealt with a drunk. At least this one wouldn't try to read his mind.
