  1. My guess is that Yumi and Painter's story takes place in late 3 or early 4 era when space travel is somewhat uncommon as Design mentions the next ship coming to the planet isn't for 3 years. Hoid however, is probably telling this to someone in or close to era 5 however, when space travel is much more common.
  2. A Cyberpunk Grifter in Queen Elizabeth's court. Or hey this world seems to revere poets, so maybe it's King Shakespeare's Court.
  3. I like a lot in this theory. It escapes my brain where I read it, but I believe that Odium moved around a lot not just on his mission to destroy other shards, but because he didn't want to become invested in a specific location. While Hoid works to keep him trapped here, it might be a moot point, as he might be too invested to leave.
  4. Had a very Hitchhikers Guide feel to me, which I love. Honestly I would not be shocked if this ends up being the first Sanderson adaptation to hit the screens. We might see this on Netflix or Amazon at the end of next year.
  5. The fact that Kelsier is even around as Thaidakar speaks very poorly of him at this point. From his interaction at the end of book 3 with Spook, and his current description, he is alive as a cognitive shadow thanks to hemalurgy. Hundreds and probably thousands likely died in the research to bring him back to bring him back into the physical realm.
  6. The Lopen will become The Honor. By the time book 10 finishes up The Lopen will be "cousins" with every single sentient being on Roshar. That level of Connection will cause Honor's Investiture to coalesce around him and he will become a shard.
  7. I doubt that Harmony is aware of Kal, although he would certainly fit very nicely. It seems pretty clear that he is grooming Wax for something, and I'm guessing that this is what it is.
  8. I figure most if not all of the unmade are spren that date back to the Dawnsingers, and have been around much longer than Odium. We know that perception is what coalesces a spren into being from raw Investiture. Some of the Unmade are mere forces while others have agency. Perhaps Nergoul was a spren of love that becomes a spren of hate. Ashertmarn, Heart of the Revel, was perhaps a spren of the Harvest that corrupted became a force of gluttony. Sja Anat was perhaps a spren of free will, which was what has protected her somewhat from the corruption of Odium. She speaks of enlightening the spren she touches. What if before becoming Unmade, her and Bo-ado-mishram together or separately had ability to grant lesser spren the ability to grow and evolve higher order spren? For example Windspren into Honorspren. I think reversing the corruption, if even necessary will be more about perception than about Light. Belief that Sja Anat is a force of Honor rather than a force of Odium will go a long way in my opinion.
  9. Another possible box [Spoilers Mistborn Era 2]
  10. My tinfoil hat theory after RoW Shallan is known on Scadrial as Ranette. I think that at the end of Stormlight 5 the Ghostbloods are going to kill Adolin. Wanting revenge, she is going to go to Wit who is going to send her to Scadrial to meet with some Kandra. They are going to give her an iron earring which gives her the abilities of a lurcher and lets her speak with Harmony. As Ranette she sees the weapons business as a way to keep watch on the underworld and the Ghostbloods, while while assisting Harmony on his project Wax.
  11. "You storming personification of a cancerous anal discharge" Beat a kid and Wit loses all chill as he damn well should.
  12. My long shot called it is Fear and they share a world with Valor. I could also see an interesting situation where, afraid of being destroyed by Autonomy or Odium, Fear moves from world to world before they can be too deeply invested there. During that stay they cause terror among the local populace. Valor or her agents follow Fear and try and clean up the mess.
  13. Both of the champions have to be willing participants according to the contract. I know Dalinar intends to be champion, but with the Stormfather's distrust of the honorblades and refusal to become a blade himself, that could put them at a serious disadvantage. Personally I think that Adolin and his father are going to resolve their differences. Dalinar will realize his greatest power as a Bondsmith is Connection. Adolin is the greatest living dualist, and his truly good nature has created very strong bonds with Renarin, Shallan, Kaladin, and Maya. Dalinar will forge those bonds with Adolin creating super Radient for the dual.
  14. Who else is super excited for book 2 in the Daevabad trilogy being released next week? I can't wait to dive back into the world of the Djinn. For those that haven't read the first book, I highly recommend The City of Brass. https://www.sachakraborty.com/
