  1. The Mexican mafia are known for their plant mages. Around their offices it is customary during birthdays and major holidays to grow a small, dancing cactus on their desks that shoots confetti periodically. Appearing To Be Of A Nationality That You Aren't
  2. Nonsense! Everyone wants the cute puppy shard! Would that make the humans you create with that Shard werewolves? Cuz that'd be awesome.
  3. the Adonalsium vault. Now I want to know what that is exactly. 3 word story, go!
  4. piled with anchovies ...gross...
  5. Crap, I put stuff on FB, Twitter and here. Is it too late to let them know?
  6. But how would Szeth have learned to do Lashings without Stormlight?
  7. giant toad demon! Jade Empire references, FTW!
  8. Isn't Davinna yours? She's freaking NUTS.
  9. Brandon has said no, which is great because it opens up all sorts of dynamics when it comes to characters. Brandon's said that there is probably Emotional Feruchemy, which is great, especially when combined with Allomancy. I could totally see a sort of drug culture revolving around achieving emotional highs with combinations of Nicrosil, Zinc and Emotional Feruchemy.
  10. I'm pretty sure that whatever the element is is related to this series. Even going off your theory somewhat, maybe it's something to do with his plans to gather the Shards on Roshar. As much as I'd like the element to be Lerasium (Mistborn vs Windrunner battle!), I don't think it's possible. The humans on Scadrial are made up of the essence of Ruin and Preservation (with just a tad more Preservation). The way Lerasium works is by increasing that level of Preservation within the person. The humans on Roshar don't have any Preservation in them at all, so I doubt it would do anything. Unless it adds in a dose of a new Shard to their system, which is more likely to throw their system completely out of whack and probably create something else entirely. Hmmm... That's not a half-bad idea, actually.
  11. They either don't have them or the mountains break them up enough not to be potent. So, I'm not really sure.
  12. It's David Mitchell! His soapbox is hilarious!
  13. It's not the fact that they have you do it, but that they have you do it three different times! lol
  14. 1. I'd actually say that she killed him first, then took his Shardblade, cuz it says there was blood which there wouldn't be if he was killed with a Shardblade. Alternatively, her brother was fighting with him and Shallan tried to stop them but he used it as a distraction to kill him, and Shallan blames herself for his death. 2. Makes sense, but what about now that he's out? Would the prophecies stop? And does this mean that Taln can see the future? I doubt it, really. 3. I idea is that Dalinar's wife betrayed him somehow and he wanted to have her taken from his mind. This would explain why he doesn't exactly seem perturbed by his lack of memory. 4. Good catch. 5/6. I'm pretty sure Thaidakar and Restares are Highprinces that Gavilar thought particularly inclined to want to kill him and take power. 7. I don't think so. I'm thinking that something humanity did made them quit, or maybe the breaking of the Oathpact. 8. But what does that mean? Is it a Shard? The Vorin call Jezrien the Stormfather, but I don't think it was him. 9. That's a good thought. 11. I really don't think so. From what we've seen of Kaladin using it, it doesn't seem nearly as instinctual as Allomancy. 12. It's possible there's some kind of magic involved with it, looking at Kabsal's notes.
  15. If you haven't listened to the interview with Brandon yet, go do that, it has a lot of relevance to this topic. Now that we know that each order has two magic systems and each system is associated with two orders, which other order has Lashings? I'm also betting that Shallan's Memories are part of the other Garnet system.
