Are we allowed to do RPs that aren't about Brandon's books? Cuz I've got a few ideas that I think might find a good home here. This just seems like an ideal space for it. I don't know about you guys but I actually prefer small, usually single thread RPs to massive, board-of-their-own undertakings like Inquisition. (love Inquisition, but you have to admit that that thing is extremely intimidating through its sheer size) If they are allowed, this thread can be used for brainstorming.

I am! I really don't know what I'm going to do for it. My intention is to brainstorm the week before so I have something to go on, but that's what I'm limiting myself to. Unfortunately, Soulcasting only has two orders, and we can reasonably assume the Garnet to be one of them. The only two gems that share a magic system with Garnet are Zircon and Emerald, and only one of them can be the other Soulcasting order. So, out of the three characters that we can assume do or will eventually Soulcast (Shallan, Jasnah, and Elhokar) two have to belong to one order at least. Jasnah is connected to the Emerald, so would Elhokar also be Palah?

Yeah, I never said it had to do with Jaddeth, just Dakhor. This would be something good to know.

It never really said what caused the Hierocracy, and definitely not in that level of detail. Though I might need to reread to confirm that. Which might be a problem since I'm anticipating loaning it out pretty soon. Oh, well, that's what my ARC is for!

Yeah, this is him explaining that plan in more detail. He actually said future SA books will be shorter, around 300k, cutting it back to about 800 pages. He also said that he's thinking that SA2 might require more of a Shallan slant, so it might not be Highprince of War at all. Then again, the Way of Kings (in-story) didn't have much to do with Kaladin so it's anyone's guess really.

I'm currently reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore. It's an interesting book. I read the pseudo prequel companion book, Fire, on a recommendation from my aunt and thoroughly enjoyed it so I thought I'd check this out. I'm only a couple of chapters in and so far I'm intrigued. The scope isn't very large, but it's looking to be on par with the other which is good. Then I'm lined up to read The Memory of Earth by Orson Scott Card. My friend recommended it to me and I thought I'd check it out. I have a strange relationship with book recommendations, since I first read Sanderson on a recommendation, but that's also why I read Twilight. So many conflicting feelings. Lucky, awesome, and I loved IANASK! I read that one, I liked it a lot.

I'm not sure if this would go here or not since it might be longer than just a Short Story, but this is where I'm putting it until someone tells me otherwise. So Brandon has revealed the premise for his latest doodle story: A Necromancer Pizza Deliveryman. Its working title is "Death By Pizza". What do you guys think of this? Cool or just weird? I really think it could be tons of fun. I'm seeing an overworked delivery guy using occult forces to reduce his workload and inadvertently triggering the zombie apocalypse. Other ideas?
