  1. Heather laughed. "That is...so weird."
  2. Heather let out a nervous laugh. "Dang right..."
  3. "Because. I don't deserve such treatment..." And I never will. The suppressed emotions came boiling to the surface again, but Heather was able to push them back down. "It's fine. I just don't like being praised if you know what I mean."
  4. "Oh." Heather wanted to say that Ember doesn't have to apologize and that she doesn't have to do the shell-thing because she's learned from...Past Mistakes. But 'Oh' was all that came out. A sigh escaped her lips, releasing some of the tension trapped within her body. "Sorry for walking out on you. I just got uncomfortable..."
  5. "No, not that. The shell. Are you okay?"
  6. "Why...did you do that...?" She said watching with fascination, it seemed.
  7. "O...kay."
  8. "No." She whispered just as softly.
  9. Shadow started laughing hysterically. "Haha! You're an old boomer!" In a not so slightly mocking voice, "Get off my lawn!" She yelled. BoS started rolling on the floor clutching her chest, still laughing.
  10. So naturally, BoS started screaming it. "COOKED ZUCCHINI!!!"
  11. Which replaced the other crime of the century, which was opening up Disney World. During a pandemic.
  12. Heather set down her bowl, looking at the bowing Destroyer, then felt an imaginary tear fall down her cheek. "I... can't do this." She whispered. The Inquisitor wiped the tear away as she left the room, but realized she had just imagined it.
  13. All of the sudden the slurping stopped and Heather almost choked. How am I supposed to respond to that?! "Umm...Thanks..."
  14. "Beats me." Heather said while slurping some ramen noodles.
  15. Heather laughed. "Preach." She then decided it was done cooking, so she drained some of the broth then put the rest into a bowl.
  16. Heather looked at Ember with a hint of smile on her face. “Well, some food is complicated, but this food…isn’t.”
  17. “It’s ramen noodles. Chicken flavor, to be exact.” Heather began putting pieces of ham and an egg into the pot.
  18. “Indeed it would…Indeed it would…” The Inquisitor trailed off while putting in the noodles and packet into a boiling pot.
  19. Heather sighed as well. “If only…” She paused. “We could ask Star to sing for us.”
  20. Heather laughed. “I mean songs… Hmm, I have one…” She started singing, making sure to fill it with as much emotion as possible. 21. Heather blushed. “Sure…Any requests?” Stupid Heather! Do you really think she’ll know about songs from Earth?
  22. “Oh…Okay.” Heather quietly went to a nearby kitchen and found some ramen and started cooking.
  23. “Okay. Anything you want to do in the meantime? Maybe raid the kitchen?”
  24. “Yeah…I took a shower. It’s a way to get clean…” Heather said.
  25. “Hey Ember.” Heather said as she stepped out of the bathroom. “Has Star and the gang returned?”
