    Heather quietly sung in the shower, thinking about officially being Star’s adopted daughter. You don’t deserve her love. She thought. You never will. Did you see how you treated Ember? Star won’t be as quick to forgive… “But she did forgive me.” Heather said out loud. She sighed and continued to sing and wash up, trying to banish similar doubts. After finishing in the shower, the Inquisitor got dressed. It felt nice to finally wear her suspenders. It made her feel…Normal. Then she combed out her hair and came out of the bathroom and felt like she had washed her worries away, or forgotten them for a brief period of time.

    The Inquisitor smiled. “Thank you, Ember. I’m glad to have you as a friend. Now, I best be taking a shower.” Heather got up and went to the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

    My Mom had a “moment of weakness” and we ended up getting a black lab named Sam. Then one day is breathing became labored and he stopped eating. Turns out male black labs have a genetic disorder that makes their heart grow huge, not leaving enough space for other organs. We had to put him down because a heart transplant was too expensive and might not have worked. He wasn’t very old (3-4 years) and we had only had him for 7 months. Now every time we want a pet we look at his ashes…

    “Nope! Thank you so much…Mom.” Heather smiled for the first time in a long time.

    “Yeah, I’m a mess. I can just take a shower. Although, the bathroom is kinda of a mess…” She said while grimacing.

    “Well, I haven’t even began experimenting with it anyways, so I guess it doesn’t matter.” But I’ll have to try it someday…

    Heather went as wide-eyed as an Inquisitor could get. “I would love to be your daughter.” She said in amazement.

    Hey 17th Shard! As you may know, this month is pride month! I did this thread last year, and I got a suggestion (*cough* @AonEne *cough*) to do it again! I am an Ally, which means I am straight but I support this crazy idea called equal rights. Love is love. I would like to hear your stories about coming out, supporting others or just positive messages! While I am an Ally, I am still trying to figure out if I am asexual or not. But I feel like I can’t judge something that I haven’t experienced yet. I’m not saying that you can’t determine what and who you are at a young age, this is just my personal opinion. If you’re younger and you know you’re asexual, that is great! Be proud of it! Be you! Again, this is just me and my opinions. Don’t take offense!

    Suddenly, it all came back. The bathroom. Broken glass and blood. Cold water drops like knives. Heather looked down at her shirt, wondering if she should lie. But no, Star deserved better than that. “I…Had a mental breakdown, and I tried to dig out my spikes with a piece of mirror…” She grimaced.
