  1. I was asking if it was to overpowered, not if it could be a space marine. He doesn't work for anyone.
  2. I agree with most of that, and the Precursors are going to hire soldiers, but I'm saying that guilds should be allowed to start with NPCs. Nothing crazy, and we should limit the number of NPC based guilds. My problem with the Great Guild idea is manly this: To continue, both the Black Crusade, and Precursor would have to be assimilated. The Black crusade is a strictly sovereign body, and the Precursors whole gist, is that they work for everyone who has a city, so them join TUBA(which is what would happen) just doesn't work. If the lower guild levels can have NPCs, but need a logical reason why they have them, because they are required for their mission, this would be okay with me. I'm going back to an earlier mentioned idea, but I think that guildless characters are actually fun. They are free to do whatever they want, but at the same time, have no support. It works well with our current dynamic, and it doesn't seem like a problem. I forgot to mention this earlier, but I am not anti planning. I like planning. I am against strict rules on what people can, or can't do. The laws that I am proposing, only apply to people who agree to them. This allows for some criminal plot lines, while not stopping people from doing stuff. If we plan everything, then we aren't RPGrs, we're a committee of book writers. We do plan the basics, but let people respond how they wish, and then respond how you want. Don't do something that someone has explicitly said that they don't want, because it is just rude, but at he same time, don't use that privilege to do whatever you want. I don't want it to sound like I'm anti limits, because I think that their should be lot's of limits, such as how powerful a character can be. As a person who as fought Hellbent, and mac, to a lesser extent, I can tell you, It is incredibly annoying, and at least Hellbent needs to leave. Going off on a tangent here, but Mac is okay, as long as, and only as, he is a scientist, not a fighter. Like Dusk, if he completely focuses everything he has on scientific exploration, he's fine. Hellbent can't do that by nature of his character, and Hellbent needs to fanish into a poof of balefire, and Mac could, maybe have some severe brain damage that stops him from being able to commit violence. Tangent over. *NOTE* Coming into the citadel is agreeing to it's laws.
  3. I would like to join the Black Crusade. Would this be alright, as a sort of upper limit? He is a sort of multi era, overarching villain, that will come into conflict with most of the members fo the alleyverse, but I have plans for him, so please, NOBODY KILL HIM. If anyone needs a startling back story, just pm me, and this guy can slotter your family. I am also against the point buy system, because of the same reasons that Kaladin stated. More bad than good.
  4. Walker got up, felt his age returning to him, and proceed to punch Lusk across the face with his perfectly uninjured hand.
  5. I was not saying that you should only follow the rules if you want, but I was saying is that you cannot change how a guild functions, just because it is annoying to you. TUBA and the DA have barely any ranks at all, and GB is incredibly organized, but trying to either make DA and TUBA more organized, or GB less organized, or some combination of the two, is just not right. It is not something that we should be doing. Remember, I am the one trying to make a centralized code of laws. My point about the guilds is that there are several different types of guilds. Their are guilds, like the thieves guild, that doesn't need NPCs, but then their are guilds like the precursors, or Sentinels, or GUESS, or Black crusade, which do need NPCs, because of their mission. Whatever the mission of the Black Crusade is. You are just saying that new guilds have to function in a certain way, which just says, 'the point of your existence can be none of these thing,' and even though that would stop some of the chaos, which really should continue in my opinion, it just means that guilds will have to get enough members to be a great guild, before they do anything about the things. Have you ever heard, and I mean ever, of a militant body where when one leader dies, and someone takes over their position, and then their heir shows up, that there wasn't a power struggle? The same thing happened with the GB, but it was with actual people. Mraize went inactive, TFA took over, and then Mraize came back, and a power struggle commenced. In more laid back guilds, or if this is a plot point, which would be awesome, I admit, it could work, but to be a stable, governing body, it just doesn't seem practical. If we do go with the great guild idea, which I am against, but still, I think the requirements should be as follows, they have at least 7 members, they are active in the Alleyverse, and they have a city, which TUBA, GB, and DA all fall into, with GB having oasis, DA having Alleycity, and TUBA having the citadel. Kind've. It is led by a TUBA member...
  6. Small problem with this. How would we do it? Spying is already, not technically allowed, as it is breaking an oath you made to the guild, so stopping it wouldn't really change much. I think that some guild could do that, but just forcing all guild to pm a certain way just doesn't seem right. Couple thing I don't like about this. It is till a guild membership limit, which I do not believe in, because it would just limit enjoyment, and it seems unfair. Smaller guilds are only relevant because of NPCs, so not letting them use them just makes them die. And finally, it severely limits how new guild can form. You try to make a new guild, and have some massive history for it, like The Precursors will have, but you can't even use it until the guild is already firmly in the lore, and then you can't just say 'Oh, by the way, I've had thiss army of NPC's hiding in another dimension for 1-5 years. Just letting you know' For once we agree on something. Seriously, why do incharacter leadership? The right hand is their to take over of the leader goes inactive not if their character dies. If that happens, then their next character takes over, or they make up an heir/protege, but if the right hand takes over in that case, how do you make them give it back? You would have to kill the right hands character to. I'm just going to say this: If a guid wants to follow these rules, or do this stuff, let them, but what you shouldn't do is force a guild to function a certain way. All the guilds are unique, and function in severely different ways. Trying to make them uniformal, is just not something we should be doing. The Alleyverse exists to be fun, and if what your doing will subracact more enjoyment then it will add, you shouldn't be doing that. Finally, this is the Alleyverse! Why are you trying to stop the chaos! Chaos is literally what the entire Alleyverse has been circled around since it was made! OUR GOD IS A SLOBRO!
  7. The law was changed so that arresting someone on just cause is not harassment, and then the fact that burning peoples houses down is harassment was explained to the man.
  8. In response, Walker swung the leg he had hit Lusk in the thigh with, into Lusk's groin.
  9. He was then arrested for harassment, and both thievery, and vandalism illegal.
  10. Arson was then made illegal, and the fires were put out.
  11. Walker felt his leg grabbed, and he twisted with the momentum and tried to hit Lusk in the inner thigh, and in the process, twisted his leg away. @Ookla the Guacless @Kidpen
  12. Walker swung himself to the side, and tried to hit Lusk in the shoulder, and as he was rolling, Lusk hit him in the thigh of the swinging leg, but this barely affected the swing.
  13. Walker felt Lusk push his leg off of his neck. He responded by spinning away, gritting his teeth as Lusk's arm skidded along his side, and hit the ground. Walker then took the leg that Lusk had given up on braking, and swung hard at Lusk's neck, to hit him square in the throat with his leg, and with his other leg, kicked downward hard at Lusk's gut with his other leg.
  14. I'm that middle brother who seems completely apathetic at everything, but when a demonic attack comes, pulls out a shotgun and knows what's going on, but ends up dying before he can explain it. And Ark is the demonic attacker. Yes, I do fully expect Ark to kill me one day.
  15. Wait, it appears that the Sci Fi vote is still going, so don't take it down.
  16. Walker felt his leg begin to break. It was whaling at him to let up, but he kept going, knowing that even if his leg broke, he would still be suffocating Lusk, and when he passed out, Walker would win. He could get his leg healed, and a new hand. He kept his choke hold on Lusk's neck.
  17. So, I my have missed something, but I find the idea of limiting the amount of guilds a person/character can be in is just stupid. I apologize for my rudeness, but that is my belief. If their are guild that do not oppose one another, you should be able to join both. Or, if a new guild starts that your character would be perfect for, but you are already in 4 guilds, you can't join it. So, if the guild let's you join it, you should be able to join it. Archer, there was some foreshadowing for the super lifeless army, which was in the Long War thread. It was to late to change it at that point, but it was their. But, I know that I only got away with the army because they were made for the great game. I am now tying them to a city, to give them a practical purpose. So, armies should happen with foreshadowing, preferably in RP, because of a city formation, or because of a War main plot, which I don't think should happen for at least another era or two. We should all be working together against one person, not all fighting amongst each other. Peace should rule not war.*puts arm around TFA/Mraize(whoever is in charge right now) and Voidus, making sure to cover arm so he isn't spiked by Voidus's back spikes* We should cooperate. And spy on each other. Don't forget that. Side note: Don't expect me to RP all of Dusk's stuff. I will if it will actually affect a large group from now on, and I will drop hints, but him having almost as many secret projects as Mac, is part of his character. PS. Will be part of his character. PPS. Almost, as in 75%. So, a couple billion.
