Hmm So, at the end of DE, Jason seemed angry, yes, and released FTL. But, for me, I thought was was building even then. He's purposely releasing a violent race into the stars, and that can't make them happy. And then, like you said, he's angry at them. He's going to slant the public's view against them from the start.
