  1. So as not to hijack the other thread any more, I moved the debate here. Here is the page with the previous debates. Which order do you think Dalinar is in? Bondsmiths, Stonewards, or something else entirely?
  2. I think he has had plenty of experience guiding. He's been a high prince for how long? And led at the front of an army for even longer. I think he should've had multiple opportunities for that. I could also argue that in the Tower battle he guided his whole army against the Parshendi and guided them by continuing to fight.
  3. I think it said a week
  4. Bondsmiths, assuming their surges are "Surface Tension" and Pressure, also would make powerful warriors, more of defensive ones, but still. I don't think it will be easy at all for him to give up his fighting life, I mean, he's been a warrior for a long time. Do you need a spren before you say the words, or is it the other way around, I can't remember? If it's the first, he couldn't become a KR on the Tower, he doesn't yet have a spren. I also don't think he's very pious. Somewhat, yes, but devout, I'm not so sure, I think he disagrees with some Vorin teachings.
  5. Hence the reason he is on this list.
  6. He is also Dependable and Resourceful. Because of the name Stoneward, I picture that they are also very firm, in my mind, he is someone who is firm and you cand depend on him for anything and to always be there. He is strong like a stone and hard to break. Stonewards, I feel has also been foreshadowed. It's also just a gut feeling.
  7. If we assume he is a Bondsmith. I personally think he is a Stoneward.
  8. I like Bondsmiths much, much better as #10 than #8. It just didn't feel right to me before. This seems like a much better fit, IMO.
  9. Oh, I thought it was confirmed that Bondsmiths were #8
  10. Woah, this changes things a bit. We still don't know what stoneward's other surge is, but now bondsmiths don't have "surface tension". Also, Skybreakers have gravity instead of pressure.
  11. Of course, buy. There will be a viewpoint character at some point that is a Gnat.
  12. I thought this was a good idea, then I realized it wouldn't work with Skybreakers. How could they exhale Stormlight, without inhaling it first?
  13. Ok, thanks, I just happened to have recently reread it and they were the first ones to pop in my head when you described it.
  14. Yeah, exactly what I was thinking, I bet there was a leader of some type from every nation on Roshar on Taravangian's list.
  15. Skybreakers seem to be related to the division surge but that would mean their Spren-name would have to deal with pressure but windrunners already does, assuming your theory is correct.
  16. I thought it might be because no one wanted to be observed by anyone all the time. Then they mentioned the Primes all being killed.
  17. Oh, you didn't notice her standing there in the background? sorry about that.
  18. Yeah, definitely, I just meant that there was a reference to her but she didn't physically appear in the chapter.
  19. Sorry, that's just what I was thinking. She didn't actually appear but there was a mention of a portrait of all the Heralds in a line with one having her face scratched out and Lift wondering why someone would do that to such a nice picture.
