  1. Maw was disappointed in his attempts to decipher the Tineye's message. What could those numbers mean? He only hoped it wasn't too important. After calling out Mabi, he felt bad but knew someone needed to be lynched. He was sorry that he felt that way about Mabi, she seemed nice enough, but also one of the most suspicious to Maw. Four Years Ago Maw was sitting on the floor after crying his eyes out when he had a heart attack and died. Nalan brought him back to life. The end. Jk, he's not done yet.
  2. Sorry for the double post. I also think thislooks like the third one on the left in the fechtbuch image. That's the friction surge though, so I don't know which stance that would be.
  3. Downvotes are up to individual users to decide what to do, but I reserve mine for offensive or detracting comments. I try to balance out rep when I see downvotes given for unnecessary reasons. That's my view on them, take it as you will. I did begin to appreciate Adolin more in this book. I didn't particularly like him in WoK, but I grew to quite enjoy his character. Until the end. Sadeas is a jerk and deserves it, but I don't think Adolin should've strangled him in the hall. I do appreciate Adolin a lot more though. Sebastian is also one I came to like. He has a lot more depth and intelligence than is noticeable usually and is relaxed, even to the point of drinking wine while a Highstorm and the Everstorm are coming to meet right in the middle of a battle against the Voidbringers, while Seb is in a pavilion off to the side, casually sipping wine.
  4. Well, I was about to pop on and vote Mabi, but them I saw that Gamut beat me to it. Well, all the more reason to vote for her. I shall, Gamut, I shall. Or at least try. Vizzini, Wark is more active than Xaneth was. I don't think that is a good reason. Alvron, what is the third character in your sig? You've only played two games.
  5. Woohoo! Go Coinshot! We have a great chance this game. Three spiked down and two villagers. As self-appointed Tineye decoder, I will be working on decoding the second message. I can't find anything In the first. The Aons, in order from to bottom, mean: Trust, Helpfulness/Aid, Justice, Death, Endurance/Willpower, Helpfulness/Aid, the one that appears to be the signature of the Tineye is Honor. I'll work on those numbers soon. It looks like Mr. T's code in WoR. I remember seeing a key on the forum somewhere. I'll post when I decode it. I can't get anything from those numbers. This is all I've gotten so far: "I 3(this confuses me. There's no 3 in T's code) aa(or oioi or oia or aoi) yol a(or oi)ol" I'm trying to figure out what the storms they did with those numbers. I think the second set of numbers that is on the back is actually in Taravangian's code. So far I've gotten this out of it: "I/believe/I/have/cracked/the/code" with "Thath" on the next line. I will update this as I go.Done. What is a Thath? Edit: I did a quick search on the coppermind and figured out that it is the Alethi glyph for "Justice". Well there you go.
  6. this. With the one I said in my last post.
  7. Thanks, Aile! On this image, the second one down on the left. The glyph looks quite a bit like the glyph for the illumination/light surge on the KR chart endpaper. Is this Lightstance.
  8. I think the people over in the Alethi glyph translating thread are working on it.
  9. Meta, can you add me to the GM list. I'd like to do a Post-WoR kinda type game. Tell me what you think of these roles. I'm not so sure about some of them. (WoR spoilers)
  10. Wark, stop it. I'm almost shedding tears. I don't want to see this backstory. But I do at the same time. :'( Four Years Ago Maw was tired. Tired of stealing for some stranger. Tired of hiding. He was done. Fano was a year old now and he was crawling around and taking stumbling steps. Maw had missed his first steps. He missed the boy's first word, mama. He had missed too much. He was done. The boy didn't see his father often. Maw was always either being forced to steal or, when he wasn't, to work to provide enough for his small family. Syli was pregnant with their second child. He barely had enough time to manage enough work to provide for three. How he would for four was above him. Maw was done. Finally, he found Nahn and told him he was done. "Whatever you have on me, it isn't worth it. I'm done," Maw began to walk away. "Are you sure?" Nahn asked. "I'm sure," Maw said resolutely. He turned and left. When Maw arrived at his home that night, he found his wife weeping by the hearth. She pointed in the small kitchen. Maw walked in there, expecting the worst. It was worse than that. Fanno was lying on the table, surrounded in blood. A note stuck to the table with a bloody knife read, "You're not done.". Maw broke down and wept, sinking onto the floor.
  11. Oh interesting. I think there should be some way to still do that with the current Plate characters have. They can still summon Blades, regardless of the fact that
  12. Sure. Here you go. It's under the spoiler.
  13. Fleshstance? Sinewstance? I like Lightstance.
  14. Ah-freaking-mazing! Lirin and Hesina and Renarin and Dalinar and Navani and ahhh. This is awesome!
  15. Maw sat in his house despondently. Not again. Death always seems to come to those near me. Why? Why must evil always infiltrate a life? Why can't it leave me alone without Ruining my life time and time again? After decoding the last Tineye's message, Maw was exhausted. He had learned much in his previous life as a bookbinder in Luthadel, including how to decipher simple languages, among a plethora of other useful things. The strange writings had left him drained along with the death of Xaneth. Maw felt horrible for voting to kill the man. Five years ago Maw hated the feeling he got when he stole. He didn't know what else to do. The man, who had said to call him Nahn, ordered it and Maw knew that he wouldn't hesitate to kill Syli and little Fanno. He tried to keep himself busy with his work when the codes didn't come. He needed something to distract him from the robbing of others' lives. He became sullen and withdrawn, even from Syli.
  16. I've been thinking about this recently, do you think there is a way to summon and store Shardplate similar to Shardblades?
  17. Any updates onwhen this might be updated?
  18. Brandon said in an interview that he thinks of Zahel/Vasher and Nightblood as Stormlight characters and Warbreaker was a prequel to their characters. so I think they'll have a pretty big part to play in the next books.
  19. Aile, this is great! You referenced my topic where I thought the stances were for a specific Order. I've changed my opinion now. I believe they were based on the Essences, though I think it's possible that the stances favored each order's surges. I think the picture with the sword overhead could be eyestance(since I don't know what to call it) because it thrusts towards the eyes. Kinda gruesome, but the first thing I pictured.
